summer got a reaction from JariH in Colour picker is unnecessary complicated
Any news on this? It’s amazing how cumbersome this has been made. It’s a product that works by manipulating colors and picking and applying them is simply the most tedious process ever conceived.

everyone is looking at each other and taking what they think is nice. And I would highly doubt that MS and mac decided to make things like virtual desktop or clipboard history or whatever part of their OSes just because something like XEROX or whataver it was called had it 30+ years ago.
they are likely looking at currently available systems and what features users like there.

summer got a reaction from Max P in Designing a gradient is a slow process
Especially when the color picker tool is involved. Let's say I want to make a layer with an FX gradient.
Open Layer FX Select gradient overlay Select gradient Select a gradient point Click color Click and drag color picker to a point on screen Click the color pickers color Click the gradient overlay again Select the 2nd gradient point Click color Click and drag color picker to a point on screen Click the color pickers color Click the gradient overlay again Plus if I have to tab to another application to read a hex code the color panel is gone. If you forgot to click the little color circle after selecting the color you have to repeat the process.
This really needs to be optimised and have better UX.
Preferably just click the gradient point and the color selection is already there. The color picker should just assign the color automatically instead of the tedious process it is now.
Thanks for reading.
