A few new features have been added to the stroke panel...
1. As has been commonly requested we have now added the ability to 'balance' dashed lines using a new toggle button on stroke panel. This means that the dash pattern is automatically rescaled between any cusps in a curve - making things such as corners of a rectangle or the start and end of a stroke look correct.

2. An additional dash and gap have now been added to build up more complex dashed line patterns (now giving you 3 dash and 3 gaps) making, among other things, two dot chain patterns possible. On desktop you can also click-drag the dash and gap indicator as shown to adjust the value. 

3. A new button has been added to clear any arrowheads on a stroke - just making it more convenient than having to open the drop downs to set both ends to "None".
 

 
 

I have been bellyaching to Serif ever since they first published AD V1 about including a drawing in perspective feature.

For those of you who may also be interested in this I have attached a file showing how I go about setting up 3 point perspective axes and measuring method. It may look complicated but I can assure you it isn't - its pretty basic stuff!
If anyone is interested I would be happy to elaborate further with anyone either on the forum or privately.

There are a fair number of them. just set the blend mode to overlay (as they say).

Can you please create a scalable asset picker and or provide a way to change the contrast so we can see dark assets. Current picker is very difficult to see the assets I saved. Especially when they are smaller. Some don't even show the full asset like the C in the middle of this image which is really the nose of a Fish.

We are pleased to make available the next update to the 2.1 beta. This is 2.1.0.1713 on macOS and iPad, and 2.1.0.1714 on Windows. This should now be available for you on auto-update.

Cross references added to Affinity Publisher
This much requested feature is now available to test in Affinity Publisher. More details are here.
Style picker added to all iPad apps
The new style picker feature which was added to desktop apps in 2.0 has now been made available in the iPad versions. More details are here.
Auto-select options added to Designer and Publisher (+ iPad)
The auto-select options allowing you to turn auto select off when in move tool have now been made available in Designer and Publisher (it was previously only available in Affinity Photo). We have also added these options to all iPad versions. More details are here.
Crop Tool
Remembering previous setting has been disabled for an unconstrained crop. You can now resize crop by dragging anywhere on edge of the crop bounding box, rather than needing to specifically drag on a handle. Guides
Double clicking on a guide will now open the guides manager, as well as giving focus to that guide in the dialog. Assets
Added Expand / Collapse all to the burger menu of panel to quick expand / collapse all sub categories Search bar available in your add-on listing

If we do it, it will just be an option to whether you want to convert the measurement to an object or something along those lines. And should say to set expectations this will not be what could be considered a full dynamic dimension tool or anything, but clearly the convenience of just leaving the measurement on document would be welcomed.
Out of interest one use case we are aware of are some universities using Photo to edit / enhance imagery taken by microscopes. The measure tool is going to be very useful for them, as once scale is set then can us to take measurements - which might be parts of an insect, or down to distance between individual cells in some tissue. But yes use cases are less in photo which is why we are not including the tool in the toolbar by default.

Just temporarily open both documents in Designer or both Documents in Photo, then you can copy paste between them. 

Apple sandboxing prevents the copying of complex data objects from one app to another including one of their own apps. Best to simply save to an iCloud folder then open in the other app since .afphoto and .afdesign files are 100% compatible.
There are work arounds involving export -> share to an IOS Shortcut to load in the other app if you have already created the necessary IOS Shortcuts to allow you to open Affinity direct from Apple Photos. Another workaround used iOS multitasking allows you to drag a project from one app to the other but it is fiddly to do. no longer available.
 

I wasn’t using designer iPad for comics because the coloring became a tedious work. But this tool, this amazing tool by itself has change my world completely.

Hello All, 
I'm a CGI artist, and fellow of the International Association of Astronomical Artists, and I've put together my first resource product!
I dislike using long exposure photos of the night sky, as they really don't look much like what your eye sees. So I decided to make a big collection of both accurate constellations based on the real night sky, and fictional ones, (I have generally made these a lot richer). High resolution, (over 6k across), mostly lossless PNG, some PSD. Some star fields are provided with multiple layers you can turn on and off for even more variety.

The star fields are big enough for you to pan around them, or zoom in and out, even with 4k resolution video.
I've also included high resolution renders of the Moon in all phases, and two styles, (realistic and dramatic). Also views from directions other than from Earth, for spaceflight scene2. 1.5 Gigabytes in total, for a mere $3.99
There are also tutorial videos, using my favourite image software, Affinity Photo. These are intended to help people get the most out of the resources, and cover things like blending the Moon into a sunset sky, adjusting the star fields for specific purposes, adjusting star colours, and working with the multilayer files.
I attach a starfield with added Moon seen from the far side, to give you a better idea of what's in there.

Guides
Had a lot of great feedback on guides - thank you. In this build we have:
Added Alt-Click to delete a guide Made Alt-Shift while dragging snap to delta. We had already made holding shift snap to ruler units from page origin. What this new option gives is if you have a guide placed at, say, 35.3mm from the page origin and you want to move it 10mm - you can now drag while holding Alt-Shift to snap to that difference. Of course this also works if you have alt or cmd dragged a duplicate of the guide If guides are currently set to not visible, then dragging out a new guide from ruler (or moving an existing guide from indicator on ruler) will automatically turn guide visibility on in all OSs Crop Tool
Enter as well as return now commits a crop Escape now resets the crop Brush Panel
Generally tightened panel up somewhat so less vertical space was being used. Brush names if you have chosen to show them are now justified to left Light UI should now hopefully look correct Modifying a brush using drag shortcuts (e.g. ctrl+alt+click drag left and right) keeps brush selection in panel (and shown as modified as appropriate). Now added correctly in Windows version so the live versions of these filters are available Have now added to pixel persona in the iPad version of Designer. You will have two new options under the + button in Layers panel where you can choose to add either of these live filter layers. Vector flood fill
New icon has been added for tool to distinguish between the raster flood fill tool in Affinity Photo When you are in tool you can now drag and drop swatches directly from the swatches panel into any area the fill tool recognises from your selection If you are in "In Between" mode the additional shapes / fills which are created are automatically added to your selection so if you subsequently change the fill of them again additional shapes are not created. Bitmap fills are now supported. This means you can pick a bitmap fill swatch from swatches to use as your fill colour (or drag and drop a bitmap fill swatch into the appropriate area). Few notes on this: Currently if the bitmap fill has transparency this will be added as an additional fill (in appearance panel), so can be added as a texture over an existing colour fill. It's a cool feature, but we probably need to add a modifier / option in context toolbar about whether you want that to do that vs. replace the fill altogether.  You will notice in the context toolbar some new options for min, max and stretch to fit. These options are only relevant for bitmap and gradient fills and determines how the gradient or bitmap are scaled within the new fill being created.  A nice thing to try is when you are in fill tool you can drag from assets into your active colour on the toolbar to automatically create a bitmap fill to use - as shown in the video below.   Texture Fills.mov  
Blend mode shortcuts

Apply to all check box now been added to macOS dialog if you have currently open unsaved / modified documents.

I thought I'd share just one more powerful technique for adjusting Highlights and Shadows using Curves. This uses the MIN/MAX RANGES in Curves to limit any Curve adjustment to a specific portion (or Range) of the tone curve. I like this approach because it provides fine control over Strength, Range AND Transition to unaffected portions of the tone curve. This allows you to prevent harsh transitions which might occur using some of the standard Shadow/Highlight tools. This is a single page PDF, which supplements the previous PDF file. It's just one more reason why I love Curves.

@PhotoCatThank you for the kind comment. I'm glad the Tonal Control tutorial was helpful, and hopefully clear. I am uploading RevA, which includes an addendum of three additional pages. I also corrected a few typos and did some minor rework. This covers the Shadows/Highlights "Live Filter", which I failed to include in the original version. 
@NotMyFaultThanks for your suggestion regarding color being impacted by tonal corrections. It's right on the mark, of course. Brightness, contrast and color, not to mention human perception of Hue and Saturation, is an extremely involved subject to cover in any detail, but RevA of my tutorial, which I am uploading with this post, briefly discusses the subject and issues a few cautions. At present, an in depth tutorial on the subject is more than I am ready to attempt. Maybe one of these days. Hopefully, RevA will at least flag the issue and offer a few approaches to deal with nuclear colors!

I redid the "Ico" files so that the thumbnails are perfect ....
I am attaching the files below.
You have to store them anywhere on the hard drive (create an icon directory for example).
On the desktop, right click on the old icon, property and change icon. Point to the place where you have stored them.
