Yes, it's a CMYK document and you are right, it does seem to be showing RGB.

Thanks for the latest update. Really, really pleased to see bleed when creating a new document. Generally, I am finding this so much more intuitive than InDesign which I have used for years. How do I hide the guides/frame border on text frames? Is there a single button keyboard shortcut that gives a preview mode like the InDesign W option? One thing that is slightly confusing is the page preview. If I create a shape in the main window the apply a tint/opacity change, the preview is showing 100% colour, or the colours don't match. Is this a bug or a setting I need to change?

Perfect - thanks Patrick. I have a PDF with 11 pages. I double-clicked to look at the embedded file and decided I wanted to show page 8. Going back to my document where I placed the file, I can change pages but page 8 shows as page 1. I have to delete the placed file, close the embed and re-place it for it to work. It works if I don't double-click the file. (Not sure why I would need to though!) Brilliantly simple and very useful being able to change the page so easily.

I'm really enjoying Affinity Publisher - thank you. A couple of questions: Can Frame text have a background colour? I can open PSD and AI files. Any chance of opening and saving/exporting to InDesign format? Can the bleed options be available when creating a new document? One feature I really like is the live actual pixel info when resizing images. Great work all round!

I have a PDF created from Numbers. I can place this without problems. Likewise, a multi-page PDF created in InDesign. Only issue is there is no option for selecting a page on PDF import.

A glyphs palette in AP would be very welcome. The current hex unicode option is long-winded hack! Having to change keyboard input source and source the correct unicode values just isn't user-friendly.

When opening a PDF in AP, I would like an option to load only the Images in a PDF. Also, the page preview would be easier to navigate with some pagination (prev/next page ) arrows. At the moment, the best way to do this is to change the page number and tab to the next field, or highlight the page number and use the keyboard up/down arrows. It's a little thing but the ideal would be to show a multi-page preview in grid form. This would really speed things up!

I would very much like to see this in Photo too.

I have just posted a video comparing the startup times for Affinity Photo vs Photoshop CC2015: https://youtu.be/vrv2q3ZSmiM I have tested both on my 27-inch iMac (2.93 GHz Intel Core i7 processor with 12GB RAM) and AP on the 12-inch Retina MacBook (1.1 GHz Intel Core M with 8 GB RAM). The winner is AP on the new MacBook by a whisker! Allowing for 15fps screen recording, start times as follows: AP on MacBook - 4.23 seconds AP on iMac - 4.27 seconds PS on iMac - 12.18 seconds. Loving Affinity Photo and looking forward to the new features asap! Happy New Year.

I have just got this new MacBook and the Adobe attitude (considering CS6 as end of life) drove me to try out Affinity Photo. (I use CC2015 on my 27" office iMacs and have just installed AP on one of them too.) I'll do some testing over the next few days and let you have a head-to-head. I don't have AD to compare. Immediate response is that AP loads 300-400% faster on this MacBook than Photoshop CC2015 on my iMac with 16GB RAM.

I'm a brand new user so please excuse me if I'm missing something! I've just bought Photo and as a professional Photoshop user with 15 plus years of everyday experience, I'm more than impressed by the work you have put in to this app. Is the roadmap for Affinity Designer only? I'd really like the export preview in Affinity Photo. I do still export jpegs for websites and having a preview of the quality would be fantastic. Also, a glyphs palette please. I have seen that it's something else you have planned and I'd welcome this! Actions/Macros. Big time-saving feature and I'd love to see this too. Finally, I'd like to be able to collapse the main palettes to a single column of icons. I'm on a 12" MacBook most of the time with Affinity and screen real estate is always a consideration. (Just thought of another item for the wish-list - a dedicated web/UI persona.) Thanks again on the great work so far.
