  1. would be nice to be able to highlight any number of layers, then clone from the "source" layer region onto the "target" region that might span several layers...
  2. Would be nice to be able to save selections as "selections" (not spare channels) on a per-layer basis, and "reselect" the area underlying that selection using the saved selection.
  3. It would be good as either a sub-tool of selection tool, to be able to have measurements of either each discrete line section that comprises a selection, or if selection is bounded by a singular continuous line (e.g. a circle) show the perimeter length and bounded area value. measurement unit should be user-selectable (px, inches, etc)
  4. It would be nice to be able to set different "refinement" zones on a selection, so different areas can have different values of smooth/feather/ramp. For example, I needed to extract an object with a cast shadow. I want the object to have very sharp edges but would like the cast shadow to have much softer edges, but have it all be a single "selection". I realize there is probably some way to do this now, but I'm not aware of it.
  5. Editing a jpg, I used the selection tool on an object to select object outline. Then I inverted pixel selection, and hit "delete" to have just the object on a "transparent" (checkerboard) background. I exported the file back out to jpg I then re-opened file to clean up object border a bit and used the "erase brush tool" to remove some spurious detail. It should be noted that "transparent background" was checked, though the "background" was showing as white. When I used erase brush, the strokes displayed as "transparent" (checkerboard) and when I exported / saved the changes, the edit strokes displayed in a jpeg viewer as black strokes. The only remedy? deselecting "transparent background", then making the changes. Unfortunately, the background is no longer "transparent", though thankfully the use I needed it for was on a white background. So, is this a bug, one-off issue, or is it pilot error of some kind? Thanks -Avi
  6. I'm currently using version 1.4.1, and see 1.4.2 is out in App Store, but there doesn't seem to be any way to upgrade to that version, and app store is not self-upgrading. Any thoughts? Any idea when 1.5 is coming out for Mac? Thanks -Avi
