  1. The application feels like something from today, not like a competition with a decade+ old core. I have the impression that there is a lot of potential, and some solution are just great. Love them, e.g. the Wrap Tool. To know about the quality of feature requests, means to know where they are coming from. So allow me to write a few lines about that. I use Photoshop since 1993 professional, before that just a student. I'm a film-maker. I work as well since a decade as instructor, product evangelist and beta-tester for a company that creates a leading 3D application. My dissertation/Ph.D. is based on Computer Animation. Based on my "day work", creating panoramas and mostly 360ºx180º as well as in HDR can be seen as a standard for me since way over a decade. My art work has developed on my 30+ years of working with SLRs and DSLR: https://plus.google.com/+DrSassiLA/posts I admit, I'm picky with my tools and I have written more requests to Adobe than they will admit ;o) I hope this introduction allows me now, to show up with some feature request, and not to show up as a troll. I might miss some information -- I haven't had the time to read the whole manual so far. I have gotten my Affinity 1.4 app yesterday. Scratch disk, no option to set one. 32bit/channel for all tools, im- and export. Add format: PSB, Open EXR The Wrap tool should be able to move pixels into transparent areas. Panoramatool, no option to render source images to layers? It is good but not perfect, so to render without an option to fix minor glitches, not so useful. Option to store workspaces Blend modes, allow to shut of the preview while scrolling/selecting, I know what I want, and I dislike this visual chaos while selecting Layer Comps Action Scripts Transparent background as default, the white one is misleading The Layer manager preview icons are always square, useless for me. Wide panoramas look like a thin stroke. The icons should have the option to show the whole canvas, otherwise a manual stitch of a panorama is cumbersome, where is which image? New document list, allow for a customized list. The default/suggestion might work for some,, not for me, not at all. No toonish icons, eeek. ;o) Sorry -- I couldn't resist. The Adjustment Palette takes too much screen space, icons only please, in a grid. Export to psd, please name the adjustment layers correctly, just "Layer 11" is weird and useless. Keep things consistent, e.g., the opacity slider of the Clone tool feels misplaced. Ps plug ins wont work, the few I really use, I have written to some developers already, but perhaps you give it a shot as well? :o) I shoot my film stuff with my RED EPIC Dragon, which I use as well for stills, it would be nice to see the R3D file format included. Red.com is certainly open to do support that! Again, this is compared to the great features and solution a fraction of points, and seen only by them self would look like a critique. A distortion of my impression, I think highly of this application, oterhwise I would have closed it and not invest my time here. I think it will blow at one point Ps out of the water, and I hope it will. Happy Holidays!
