tybaltstone got a reaction from Maxxxworld in My colors are off when I copy/paste on a new document
Is it that one of your documents is RGB format and the other is CMYK format (you can still use the RGB colour picker in a CMYK document)?
Colour Format can be seen under the Document menu.
Hope I've understood you correctly.

could it be a momentarily boost in the cpu use, due to ap or some other running program?
i happened to experience some dropouts in music reproduction when other programs did heavy use of computational resources, and solved it rising the priority of the audio daemon.

Great work, tybaltstone … :)
The “stutter” you are experiencing might be due to the Spacing settings of your brush. Could that be the cause of the issue? Have you already tried to reduce spacing to one percent? You could do so by clicking the More … button on the context toolbar … :)

YESSSSS THANK YOU Problem solved !!! For some reason my color profils where different from a document to another ( I must have changed something without noticing it ) ^_^ I feel a little bit stupid right now but I least I've learned something .
Thank you very much to both of you !

tybaltstone reacted to Madame in manual?
I'm very new to all this, but working with swatches seem very interesting to me.
With one click you can fill an object, and you can make a "palette" of the colours in your document, but that was perhaps not what you had in mind?

It also seems inconsistent to me that the paint bucket flood fill tool doesn't support the alt-drag shortcut like the paint brushes do.
I have started using the swatches panel, usually dragged out of the Studio into the workspace, & a variety of saved document & application pallets as a quick way to pick colors. That takes a while to set up but I find it to be a good way to limit the document colors to a manageable number & to create a consistent look for groups of documents.
It is much faster than using the eyedropper (& it works with selection tools, too).

tybaltstone got a reaction from anon1 in 1bit B&W images in Affinity Photo?
Thanks for your reply, MBd - much appreciated. Re-reading my post I see I worded it quite badly ... it wasn't the artwork I wanted as 1-bit BMP, but an equivalent of Photoshop's hard-edged (ie. no anti-aliasing) pencil tool.
I think I've found it in AP's Pixel Tool (slightly modified).
I was also having a problem with scanning on my new computer - a separate issue, and I think I've solved that too.
Thank you again :-)

I've tried the following approach:
- black and white conversion layer
- posterise layer (two colors)
- treshhold or levels or curves layer to get pure white and blacks
Hope this helps :)
