I have two issues going on in the develop persona - hoping I can get some guidance.
When I open a particular RAW file it ends up being distorted, sort of like a fisheye lens. It comes out this way whether I use the Serif RAW engine or the Apple RAW engine. When I open the same file in Photos or in the Canon RAW software it looks just fine. I can correct using the lens correction tools, but I would rather not have to do so.
The other issue is that sometimes the Apple RAW engine does not work. The opened photo shows as all black or sometimes only half the photo shows up. I don't have a definite idea as to when this happens, but I seem to be able to get it to work if I restart the computer. I think, but I am not sure, that it stops working when I use some other photo editing software. If I use the Serif engine I can successfully open the file.
Any suggestions?

The file that looks like lens distortion got erased. The files that don't open with the Apple engine sometimes do and sometimes don't. I can try to duplicate the problem and will send you the file, but I won't be able to get to it for several weeks.
