  1. It does, because on the other hand you may want to start a new curve that directly snaps to an already selected curve without creating a node on the existing curve. Hence we have this modifier that allows us add a node directly with the Pen tool. Sure, it could be also vice versa. But switching the behavior after 10 years of muscle memory is yet another argument that speaks against it…
  2. You've never been to the Discogs forums, huh? (The difference here being: as opposed to the incompetent Discogs management, Serif actually does communicate pretty well.)
  3. That's a feature, not a bug… You can apply as many master pages to a page as you want. In fact, Master Pages are based on the same technology as Symbols in Designer and Linked Layers in Photo (as confirmed by staff a few years ago). Delete the master page which you don't need on a given page in the Layers panel.
  4. What if you add a small "dummy" vector shape to the "Photo" layer? I have no practical experience with this workflow, but I remember reading that layers are being exported to PDF only when certain criteria are met.
  5. I vaguely recall this has been discussed just recently. The answer is yes. This is for compatibility with vector brushes that have been applied using Designer. But the button likely should be hidden in Photo if there's no vector brush selected in the first place.
  6. ^ this. The Text Frame tool must be active, of course. Or select any random fully transparent text frame and go to Edit → Defaults → Synchronize From Selection.
  7. photopea.com can. It's not very great at it (yet), but it can.
  8. Looks like it's about time to cheer up the current doomy mood in here with this screenshot again:
  9. You mean Ash founded Serif when he was 9 years old? That would be… impressive!
  10. Yeah, I know. I wasn't "worthy" a license on my first attempt either. It has worked on a second attempt some time later though.
  11. Perhaps the fonts don't allow embedding? I'm using Packzview: packz.com/downloads-info/#b450b04df8abdf0e4
  12. And you can: hold the Command key to activate the temporary Node tool mode klick on the curve voilà
  13. Until this I found your contributions interesting. Now welcome to my ignore list.
  14. That's what I've been trying to figure out since the free VS betas a few years ago. I still have absolutely no clue by looking at the esoteric PDF export options, let alone by attempting to understand what they mean. PDF/X-3 or PDF/X-4 presets? Fail.
  15. I can confirm having experienced this just a few days ago when trying to apply a gradient to multiple fills.
  16. Try this: launch Affinity go to  menu → System Preferences → Displays and temporarily change the display resolution
  17. I don't know the old Serif apps, but in Affinity you can go "backwards": shrink the text frame to fit the text by double-clicking a center handle on the bounding box drag the "extra" resize handle at bottom right
  18. I had the same thought this morning upon looking at the Canva website, having just watched a Picard season 2 episode last night…
  19. The question here being if all those juicy items in the timeline under the "Beta" and "1.0" headers still belong to the "2025" section…
  20. System Events UI scripting via Automator or Shortcuts.app or a 3rd party macro tool like Keyboard Maestro.
