Believe me, tiago1801, up to now we got along fine without sandbox quarreling.

Page numbers:
1. please, allow multiple instances of page numbers on master pages;
2. allow leading zeros on page numbers;
3. free postioning and rotation of page numbers.
    Reason: Page numbers can be used for numbering tickets, invoices and other documents that need serial numbers.
 
Creating PDF documents:
please insert an option "convert text to outlines?" because not all fonts are good for RIP and usually make problems. Without this option some interesting fonts which are not professionaly manufacured could not be used. Just imagine: InDesign, QuarkXPress and Acrobat don't have this option, so you must use plug-ins like PitStop or similar. I know that Designer have (probably Pablisher will, too) the option "Convert to Curves" but it will not be useful in Publisher with too many pages and separated text boxes. Chances to miss some text box(es) are big.
 
Footnotes:
please, allow multiple selection of footnotes with one command (shortcut) like in Word. InDesign doesn't allow this and it is very frustrating to select and format them one-by-one even there are more footnotes on same page.
 
Master page elements:
please, allow them to be editable on actual pages like in Quark. This way you can see the page numbers even if you put some color background or a picture over the whole page. This is not possible in InDesign directly. You have to use shrtcuts to accomplish this.
 
Paragraph rules:
Beside "rule above" and "rule bellow" it is important to have "rule left" and "rule right".

That's true, but:
1. Once the Mac alpha/beta version is out of the door, the windows version is going to be that much closer too.
2. Any features/suggestions requested by users like you, that will make it into the mac version, will also make their way in the windows version later on too.
 
Anyway you look at it it's a win win situation for mac and windows users (although I can appreciate your frustration regarding the time lapse between the mac and window versions). :o

Our PDF export already has an option to convert text to curves during the export. It's File > Export > PDF > More > Embed Fonts > Text as Curves. This will convert all text, rather than specific fonts.

It is not a bug, just a suggesion.
 
Why do we have to select "Advance" in the little square on the right side of the "Navigator" tab just to activate "View Point" options? Why this option is not always vissible? Or, even better, make a new "View Points" tab that will contain just a list of view points. So, if somebody wants to rename it - a single click on the name would be enough, and to delete it - just press "Delete" key.
 
BTW, Designer is wonderfull application and I can hardly wait to buy it when it will be available.

Oh, I see. :)  I totally get what you mean. It would be awesome, but maybe not practical/possible.
 
I just thought that implementing a font exporter/editor didn't seem that far away, from what I could gather from the videos/software that I watched/tried. But you're absolutely right. They shouldn't try to fit all the things into one program. It would probably drag down the performance, make the interface all bloated etc.

Clarity and simplicity are always appreciated, expecialiy when asking for help. You must understend that there are lots of people who would like to help and their mother tongue is not English so they can't understand complicated questions and explanations.  :)

I am not quite sure what "rip money" means but I am quite happy with my 2012 vintage 27" iMac. It has a very nice display, runs dead silent & cool to the touch, has an amazingly good builtin sound system, & even though it is a low end model, runs the Affinity apps very smoothly.
 
I'm sure there are PC's with comparable features, but I haven't seen any that are significantly cheaper, particularly if you factor in the cost of a high quality monitor & speakers.

If i had enough money I bought An iMac. But the pension and state pension is just enough.

I totally agree with MikeW and wrinkledlight. In my opinion, a negative indent is an exception to the rule and should not have consequences to the way the designer constructs a grid system (columns, positioning text-frames etc.) Another use for negative indents are numbered and bulleted lists. Lack of this functionality is a major cause of frustration in Adobe InDesign and would be a great selling point for Affinity.

It is a common design to at least place certain elements outside the text frame, at least in a layout application. For instance, in this magazine I do, the requirements are for hanging punctuation (the quote marks) to, well, hang. This makes sense from a layout application perspective and would hope A.Publisher would allow hanging outside the text frame.
 
Why? Because then the text frames all line up with guides (in this case, column guides). This makes for consistency for the frame widths and hence text column widths without fiddling around.

My brain (logic?) was telling me if I was typing more graphic inclined non Roman characters I shouldn't expect font flavours.
 
In other words Chinese (Mandarin) characters in Didot, Eurostyle or perhaps Caslon?   :D 

Or sometimes you get a rectangle with a question mark inside it. Some font designers use either their company logo or some other design for the .notdef glyph, but this is not recommended practice.

And when you start eating it, it is automatically "convert to curves".  :D
 
It would be nice to put rectangle and elipse tools together with triangle and the others, and remove the rounded rectangle from the tool's palette. It could be drawn by using the red control points on the rectangle tool.

We could get rid of the triangle tool & even the rectangle one because the polygon tool can create those shapes. In a pinch, the Cog too can create ellipses (if you don't mind the extra nodes), & the polygon one can create circles with just three nodes. The diamond tool can create triangles; the trapezoid tool can create squares or right triangles; the segment tool circles; & so on.

We don't even need separate tools for donuts and pies, since the Ellipse Tool gives us 'Convert to Donut' and 'Convert to Pie' buttons on the Context toolbar.

TYVM Alex, but please don't let it be your obsesion. I will manage somehow. :)
Everything would be fine if our official script was latin. BTW, the only app which I can use for work is InDesign where I can easily change RU/BG glyphs with MK ones. Next one is QuarkXPress and after that -- none. :)

I'm so glad there's finally a viable alternative to Adobe's shockingly awful UI.
 
I use After Effects all the time for motion graphics, it is riddled with bugs, it's unstable, and the performance is an absolute joke.
 
I'm sure if motion graphics software got the Affinity treatment you'd see a mass exodus of wizened AE prisoners coming your way, please consider it!
 
Going to buy Affinity Designer immediately and hopefully will never have to open PhotoShit or IllFrustrator ever again.
