It would be nice to be part of Designer: Drawing Instant Abstract Art in Illustrator Did you know the tilde key has magical powers in Adobe Illustrator? Yes, the humble, unassuming tilde key that sits near the top left of your keyboard. By pressing and holding it as you drag with any of Illustrator's shape tools, you can draw instant abstract art. When the tilde key is pressed Illustrator creates a new shape each time the screen redraws. So if you move your mouse or pen tablet slowly, you get a lot of densely packed shapes. If you move it faster, you get fewer shapes spaced farther apart. The results look a little bit like an old school Spirograph (if you're a child of the 70s-80s). Experiment with different starting shapes, like polygons and stars. Just make sure you set no fill before you start drawing, otherwise you may not see all the shapes. The comment was about the 1st method you offer, not the 2nd where you numbered the steps. :) Sorry I was not so precise.

Also, there are some changes needed to "transform point sellector" tool: 1. The selected point to be collored white 2. this tool to be used for rotating and flipping, not only for possitoining the objects.

Because Designer still don't support envelopes (like Corel) you have to do it manually which is not very precise.

Hi Fotero, have you tried this: 1. Go to "Document > Resize canvas", 2. change the numbers and 3. set the anchor point to the middle. 4. Press "Resize".

Hey Paolo, thank you for the reminiscence of Mighty Apple Mice through history. You really did a hard work to make this exibition. :D I had the 2nd mouse in the 2nd row (1993). Those were the days...

Thanks for the info, :( but here in Macedonia the mice are one-button by deffault. I never asked, but I suppose the you can buy two-buttons mice without problem.

Why are the first three shapes in your screenshoot not included with the other in Designer like in Photo? They exist as a separate tools in the palette. And the rounded rectangle should be removed from the list of shapes because special red handles could be added to the regular rectangle.

@the.legend 1. it is possible to do it with holding the <Alt> key while dragging. It is not so easy with one-button mouse on MacOS. +1 for suggestions 2-6.

Yes, yes. It happened to me once. I accidentally TRIPLE-clicked and may OS has changed from MacOS to Windows and I don't know how to bring it back. UNDO doesn't work. Anyone? :D

A little bit off topic but, is it possible to add an option to delete node with a double-click on it (like Corel) instead with <Delete> key? And if you add drawing straight lines while <Shift> key is pressed during drawing with pencil tool -- you can remove the pen tool from the tool palette.

I am the same you are. You also decide about others people needs by your wishes sent to Affinity, also to other people in your real life. :P

@onamac artistic text is pefrectly suited for logos. There's absolutelly no need for another text options.

Don't get me wrong. I am not Adobe's fan also, but you can't blame Adobe about Quark's wish to take a little (too long) nap.

The maximum speed and minimum app size can be achieved ONLY by using macro compiler.

And changing the forum software is a nightmare, as I suppose, same as changing the software for app development.

Is it possible to add a combo box to allow the users to select between offered choices (AD, APh, APu...) instead of tags?
