FYIO: Apple logo has connection with the Bible - the first sin of Adam and Eva. And there is a mistake - the fruit wasn't an apple, but pomegranate.

Suggestion for names: Affinity Vector or Affinity Lines Affinity Bitmap or Affinity Pixels Affinity Layout or Affinity Frames EDITED or maybe better to shorten the Affinity to "a" like in iMac so: aVector / aLines aBitmap / aPixels aLayout / aFrames

Sneak peeks for 1.7
Petar Petrenko replied to Ben's topic in Feedback for the V1 Affinity Suite of Products
Very interesting features, indeed. I love them. I was focused on yours Facebook page, so I saw this just now. It will be a good habit if you put some words on Facebook about such features. I have one question: I saw that you draw separate stars on front and on the top of the cube, but will the star adjust itself to the top grid plane if you move it from the front one? -
Text Styles Suggestions
Petar Petrenko replied to Petar Petrenko's topic in Older Feedback & Suggestion Posts
@Dave Harris I am, as many others, an "old school" and we are used to work in measurements units that are identical in Quark and InDesign. Any change you make in Designer, Photo and Publisher will make a confusion and will keep us away from using them as it should. Please, have this in consideration because, as we suppose, you make these apps for us, end customers. You must respect and acustom to some standards from the titans in layout software (Quark and Adobe) and have in mind that there are too many layouters and designers that don't want these kind of changes. I am sending you screenshots in attachment to see that even I select "mm" while opening New Document, measuremet units in some sections of "Text Styles" do not response to them. Those one mentioned in the qoute bellow. -
@AtelierCunha what would you do if Affinity didn't exist?

Hi, as I can see, you have made some changes in Paragraph / Character styles. Thank you. They should work as they have to (I didn’t try them yet), but I have some more suggestions about them. Here they are: · Space Before/After in milimeters; · Leading in points (please, do not use Word schema for it); · Paragraph Justification in %, not pixels; · Leading overwrite should be named as “Leading” and moved from “Position and Transform” to “Spacing” instead of existing “Leading”; · in Position and Transform please add “inter word spacing” (or name it as you wish) that will control the amount of space between words; · in Position and Transform please add character shading; · Bullets and Numbering must be added; · Paragraph and Character shading and framing must be added; · Paragraph Rules must be added; · as I can see Space Before acts the same as in Quark and InDesign. PLEASE, PLEASE, add “first patagraph override” (or something like that) which will enable to move the paragraph down for a certain amount of space because there are situations when this is needed. Like in novels, stories… when a Chapter / Title doesn’t start at the top of the margin.

Hi, when exporting files, Photo offers me a different folder from the one the original was loaded from. Please, correct this because it can overwrite a file that shouldn't be overwritten.

Thanks @MikeW but I don't think the problem is in fonts because in other apps everthing is OK. I think this is bug in AD (and probably in APh, too) so better to leave to the staff to see what the problem is. I would like everthing to be corrected together with my suggestion from the beggining of this thread because I found AD would be great for this kind of work, too. It still needs "Find/Replace" feature and if they make corrections to the "Character/Paragraph Styles" to look like in InDesign or QXP...

Arial Regular. I have all Arial fonts installed and AD still reports they are missing and suggest to replace with narrow version. Even if I click to substitute the "missing" fonts with narrow ones, it does not substitute them. BTW, I don't think it is font problem, but some kind of language problem.
