Finally I found out what are those 3 icons there for: when you click on any of it, they deinstall the appropriate Adobe's app.

"What happen when you buy all 3 software" - I think you should be happy. Format the disk and make a clean install of Affinity products, without Adobe's ones.

Glyph Browser Improvements
Petar Petrenko replied to A_B_C's topic in Feedback for the V1 Affinity Suite of Products
I asked for this a few months ago. Besside these you are asking for, I have a suggestion an alternative glyph to be shown when one is selected in text. Also a possibility to "Find/Change" (which I hope will be present in Publisher) ANY glyph from "Glyph Palette", -
The best from the best

Yes, that's what I'm saying. Simpler, intuitive and reliable. I hope Publisher will follow Adobe's method. -
The best from the best

I've already discussed this on QXP forum but, of course, they don't agree with me. They need to engage someone to clean their mess and it will take a long time. QXP has a great potential, but it is not very intuitive for a novice. -

I can't agree with you, Mike. ID has the best p/c styles structure. It's also very intuitive vs QXP. In other way, QXP has some features that ID can only dream about them, like composition zones, job jackets, possibility to adjust kerning pairs of fonts, importing PDF, AI, XLSX... as native objects. Also, menues and measurement palette are very unintuitive. Real mess. -
Hi, very positively surprised of the new Forum look and the additional info. Finally, there is some info about Publisher and here are my requests regarding it: 1. Master pages must have the same funcionality like those one in Quark. It means that you can select, edit, move, delete... them on the workout pages. If you don't want some of them to be editable, movable... it can be done on master page(s). 2. Paragraph and Character styles should work the same way like in InDesign. Characters attributes are part of the Paragraph Styles and can be, also, defined in Character Styles. Why is this so much important? If you have some words in a paragraph with local formating (bold, italic...) and you ALT click on a paragraph style, these local formating will be lost. If you create a character style with style "Bold" and all other attributes are left as "------" or "None", then whenever you change the font in paragraph style, the text formated with this character style will take the same font and ALT click on a paragraph style won't change it.. If you create a character style with font "Myriad Pro" and style "Bold" and all other attributes are left as "------" or "None", then whenever you change the font in paragraph style, the text formated with this character style will always be Myriad Pro Bold and ALT click on a paragraph style won't change it. Quark's Paragraph and Character styles are very confusing to work with.

The Cat tool?
Petar Petrenko replied to MaryLou's topic in [ARCHIVE] Designer beta on Windows threads
Me too. I've just mentioned just as curiousity. BTW, I think they add the cat (and not dog or some other animal) because most of Affinity staff are cat lovers. It could be seen at the very beggining of Affinity and most avatars of the staff were cats. They've also organized a competition for best cat drawing with Designer. -

Did you know that number 13 is: an unlucky (day) number If it comes in Friday it is even more unlucky, and if it comes in July on Friday is the most unlucky day (as in this year)? -
Missing fonts

Even Photoshop doesn't recognize it. -
Missing fonts
Petar Petrenko replied to Petar Petrenko's topic in Feedback for the V1 Affinity Suite of Products
Yes, I can find them, but I want to replace them and it is not possible in any Affinity app unless you try to open PDF with missing fonts. -

Sneak peeks for 1.7
Petar Petrenko replied to Ben's topic in Feedback for the V1 Affinity Suite of Products
Wow. I didn't know anyone could be so accurate. Great. I fill extremly happy!!! -
I agree with you, but if they give us some information every few weeks or every month, we can calculate ETA. Everyday I start by opening this Forum and trying to find anything new about v. 1.7 and Publisher and even new Betas. I do this about 3-4 times every day.
-
Well, I've asked this because all of us want Publisher to come out ASAP. I think this way everyone can stay calm if they are informed that it is about 80%/90% done.

Sneak peeks for 1.7

Are you here, on this Forum, on duty 24/7? Are there any chances any other user to be heard? Or from Affinity staff?
