But I tried copiying and pasting and it works fine
So, you found a solution and do not need IDML feature so badly. Just keep going on and be patient and sing: "Some day my IDML will come"...

An interesting idea came to my mind. Why not join footnotes and endnotes together with bullets and numbering? It will give us freedom of numbering them the way we need and want.

The closest thing I've found to this is going into the Export Persona (top left), and that will get you the Slices panel. In the Slices panel, the top item represents your whole document, and the ones below with the pink box icons are your artboards.
Would you be so kind and read again the first post?

I can’t find a way to automatically add a small horizontal offset to the sub/superscript text
Yeah, something like "horizontal offset" feature.

Regardless of the desktop publishing software, it is not a good idea to directly import a Word file
The best option is RTF format.

In some of mine topics I wrote how FrameMaker deals with extra unnecessary space:
- before a character
- after a character
- both.
If A-Team is interested of that I could find it and reactivated it again.

It's not a bug, they are default names based on the order of the Master Pages. Master A/B/C is basically just a numbering system
If you have given them specific names it then becomes a property of the page and is retained as you've seen.
I don't think it is a good idea. If you swap two master pages together with their names, pages associated to these master pages will change their contents, which would not be OK.

I do not miss an additional art board panel.
Of course, we can survive without them, but IMO their place is not in the layers panel.

Anything new?
This feature will establish better communication between Publisher and Designer.

Really great job guys. Thanks.

lPublisher is layout app like InDesign or Quark.
Designer is vector based app like Illustrator or CorelDRAW.
-
There is no Contour tool in Designer, yet. It is on their roadmap AFAIK.

Hi,
I would like to suggest a few things about text styles:
Spacing > Alignment:
- when using "Towards Spine" and "Away from Spine" the text can only be "Left/Right" aligned but not "Left/Right Justified" aligned. Can it be done somehow?
- Also, "Left/Right" indents, "Top/Bottom" decorations must invert their values to follow "Towards Spine" and "Away from spine" alignments.
- when using "Away from Spine" bullets and numbers do not follow the text.
"Ignore Space for same styles" works great but you need to add a dialog box for inserting an extra space between them.

Hi A-Team,
- why don't you use Designer's "File > New" panel in Photo and Publisher instead of Tabs (in Publisher). Everything is more clearer.
- You can also make one panel in "File > Export..." from the main one and "More..." panel for every setting.
-
IDML feature is, in fact, very difficult and time consuming to implement. It needs, actually, to have InDesign inside Publisher because ALL of InDesign features must be converted to Publisher's ones.
-
It would be nice too if the themplates could be saved with different extension like .INDT for InDesign. So, when you open it you get "Untitled 1" instead of the name of the file.

Oh, thanks Lagarto. I didn't noticed it was RGB.
Sorry guys I confused you and thanks for helping me solve the "problem".

There is a lock on the Color palette
You lock the color model to be default when you start the app.

But if you click the standard black and gray wells on the right of the Swatches list (the ones that you have marked with numbers 1 and 2 in your original post), you should get K50 and K100 always
But, I am not. I get those values shown in the screenshot.

Is this something that you can reproduce consistently?
Yes, and in ALL 3 apps.
-
No, My workspace is for years in CMYK color space (PageMaker, Quark, InDesign). And those values I found are the same like in Photoshop. InDesign and Quark had always K100 definition for Black color.

No one paragraph is going to lose its setings and will act accordingly to them.
Paragraph with locked baseline grid will still follow its rule as the vertical aligne paragraph.

InDesign IDML files not yet?

Even Text Styles are included. Yeeee. Just a little bit of adjusting and everything is OK. No need of IDML. Just footnotes and endnotes.
