  1. They are much too sensitive even when combine them with CTRL or SHIFT.
  2. I tried to replicate rotation of the line and the star using parameters entered by Ash, but I can't get the same result even with different transform origin setings.
  3. When I tried to replicate the rotation of the line as demonstrated by Ash, a problem occured: When I draw vertical line with the pen tool and click on the move tool after that, transform panel says that it is rotated for -90 degrees. Now, when I click Enter to open Move/Duplicate panel, the line goes horizontally and the rotation is 0 degrees. I tried, also, to deselect the line and reset the rotation angle in transform panel, but it is unavailable. Bug or not. If not, any help is welcomed.
  4. Sliders for horizontal, vertical, distance, angle and rotation, not only for number of copies. This way we can precisely position the object.
  5. What about adding start and end color, size and object? And path, too. And we get a blend tool.
  6. Maybe Affinity have to assign shortcuts to every menu and submenu like Microsoft has done within Word, Excel...
  7. An odd behavior I encountered: I created an object. CTRL click on it and the dialog box appears, then if you continue CTRL clicking; on every odd click dialog box dissapears, on every even click it appears with a new instance of the object. Bug or expected behavior? EDITED: this happens in Publisher.
  8. With these new features I think you are very close to Blend tool. Very excited about all of them. Thanks.
  9. In your case, you can save them in PDF as spreads. BTW, why you imported artboards into Publisher? Do you have problems with Designer?
  10. You have 2 solutions: Do not stick the artboards to each other; Crop the object(s) that are partly outside of the artboard.
  11. Maybe: if the object is drawn on the artboard, the layer must be part of the artboart. If the object is drawn (or draged) outside the artboard, so the layer must be pulled out of the artboard and put it outside of it. If the object is partly on the artboard and partly outside, the layer stays as the part of the artboard.
  12. OK, I won't argue anymore if this has any advantages or not, but IMO any layer should stay at the position it was put by the user and not to jump anywhere by its will.
  13. IMO, no layer must be allowed to be dragged outside the artboard, unless you want it to move to another artboard.
  14. You are right. The rectangle was outside the artboard. Now, it is OK. But, I can't see the logic of moving the layer outside the artbord layer. What is the difference if the layer is outside or inside the artboard layer? For me, if I draw on the artboard it should stay on it.
  15. The layer should stay where it is whatever I do and it is my decision if I want to move it up or down.
  16. No, it doesn't matter if I am moving it within the artboard or outside.
  17. It happens in the newest version 2 -- beta and retail on Win 10: First I draw the ellipse and then the rectangle so the rectangle layer is above the ellipse layer. Then I move the rectangle layer bellow the ellipse layer. Now, when I move the rectangle object in any direction, it's layer moves above tle ellipse layer so I have to reposition it manually. And it happens again... and again. Am I doing something wrong?
  18. I don't know if I understood you well, but cross references purpose is to link objects on different pages and help locating each other, not to move any text up or down, left or right. You have to do it manually.
  19. A little bit of clarifying: Indicator color should be editable with option to switch it on/off and automatically applied to the text formatted with that style.
  20. Hi, I do some coding from time to time and not so long ago I got and idea. (Almost) all Code Editors use colors to indicate statements, functions, quoted text... So, is it enough interesting to you, to implement this idea in Publisher? It would be something like this: Assign a color indicator next to the style name; Apply the color to paragraphs or characters as a text background or text color. This way we can easily find parts of text that have no text style assigned, or have wrong text styles. These colors must not be exported to PDF or other formats and must not be printed on paper. Only for redaction purposes.
