The modify tool is to expand selection around text etc.  Modify is used after lighting affects, adjustment in curves.  What I will try as I go along by trying to create the image using the tools in Affinity, with a bit of luck, trial and error may come up with the image I am looking to create, if I find the solution, I will send the settings and steps taken to create this image for other members.

For the past 25 years I have been an ardent user of Adobe Photoshop, the software is too expensive now, bought Affinity Photo yesterday, so far I have been able to manipulate text as I did in Photoshop, just need a little help, it there a modify tool and where do I find it, if not an equivalent.  So far I am impressed with the software.

 

Will there a hard copy tutorial in the foreseen future.
