  1. Yeah, hmmmm, the raw photos I imported (freshly taken this morning) from my camera into Photos on my mbp, do show up with the title RAW in AP on my ipad, but when I select one to open, that spinning cog wheel goes on forever. I stared at it for 5 min waiting for the photo to load, then gave up. So, yeah, hmmmm.
  2. Wonderful! Also, thanks to the ipad team for getting these fix updates out so quickly. 3 in a month's time!
  3. I am trying but I'm still on the lower end of 'techie'. So with this 1.6.3 update does it mean I can import Raw from my Canon camera to apple Photos (using my mbp) and from AP on my ipad pro, use Select from Photos and my Raw photos will load or do I still have to use icloud drive?
  4. As a hobbyist photographer, I'm going to give you a non technical answer and just my usage workflow. After editing my raw photos and developing, I still need (in Photo Persona) to sometimes use the Brush Tool to fix green pet eyes in photos of my dogs (caused by flash). I also may need to occassionally use the Clone Tool. And these are just some examples, not my total usage of the Photo Persona following Develop Persona.
  5. Sorry, I thought I had posted this in ipad questions. If possible, please move.
  6. I am having to click twice on a thread to open, first tap puts a downward arrow next to right of post, next tap opens. Next issue is that I have no B/I/U in my keyboard on this Forum. Other Forums I frequent, I do have those showing on my onscreen keyboard. I have tried tapping on the word(s) I want to use one of those on and that doesnt work either. Both of these issues are just minor but thought maybe there was a solution known. On iPad Pro 12.9" gen 2 IOS 10.3.2
  7. Here's how I got the Clone Tool to work....I found I could not make the selection of an area with my Pencil, I had to use my finger and press harder than usual. Then once I got that area to show up in a preview bubble, I could then use the Pencil to paste where I wanted to clone to (paste). Not a good technical answer, but its what works for me.
  8. First, thank you for this quick response. I am using Export to icloud drive command after my editing process. Then when I am trying to open the next photo that IS showing from my initial transfer f/camera/icloud drive, instead of the photo I select, the photo I just completed editing/exported back to icloud dive shows back up. But, like I said above, if I just wait until next day, after getting my photos from my camera to icloud drive, can use AP as it is supposed to work. I do have the best internet speed offered in my rural area, 5 mbps, but that does not cause me any issue anywhere else i.e. buffering in youtube videos, streaming movies on tv. Could very well be my problem with AP on ipad, causes no issues on my Mac but I guess that's since its a different process. Anyway I was just asking others if they experienced this same delay with hen transferring their photos f/camera before able to open in AP for iPad.
  9. Well, add this to my now long list of Questions that I dont get answered. So, I'm now rambling here rather than starting another question that probably wont get answered. As in: How long do you guys have to wait until the Raw photos you transferred from your camera to Mac then saved to icloud drive, show up in order to be opened in AP/iPad? Because I am finding that in answer to my OP question....if I perform the process as described in my post directly above this one and wait until the next day to open one of the photos in AP to edit on my iPad AND with no loop occurring, they are all there to edit. If I try to open to edit the same day I complete the transfer from camera/load into icloud drive, no new photos are visible in AP or they do show up after a couple hours but the loop described above occurs. Confusing question, Probably, sorry.
  10. Sure... Transfer from canon 5d mark iii by usb to macbook photo Photo set to open when camera is connected Import all 6 new photos to mbp Photo Open AP App on ipad pro 12.9 generation 2 running 10.3.2 Tap + sign on AP screen Tap Import from Photos I found out it takes about 2 hours for the photos that I imported from camera to mac Photos in AP. Even tho WIFI is turned on in both devices and Settings are set for Photos to show on all my devices. I can see all older Photos just not the newly imported ones. So after waiting for the photos to show up, I can edit one and then I am caught in the loop mentioned above. No matter what photo I try to open, the one I just edited keeps opening back up.
  11. Well, they are now showing up when I click on Import from Photos, i.e. these latest 6 are visible in my camera roll so I guess it takes about 2 hours to show up. HERE'S THE ISSUE NOW! I selected one, edited it. Initially it came on the screen showing the Photo Persona but I clicked the Develop Persona and edited, clicked Develop. Dont think that flow was correct but I got around it. Then tried went on to edit another. It shows up in the camera roll when trying to Import from Photos but when I click on it, that first one I edited/exported comes on the AP screen to edit again. There is no way I can get another photo (Of these new 6) to show up. I'm in a loop in AP...... I select a photo from Import from Camera, initial photo shows up, back out, select another photo, initial one shows up. Maybe I should have put this in Bugs!
  12. I am trying this for the first time since updating to 1.6.2. I took a few raw photos (just 6 for this first try), transferred them to my MBP from my canon camera, imported them into Mac Photos App. Waited about an hour, opened AP on my ipad pro and selected Import from Photos. None of the new raw photos show up. I have wifi on setting for both ipad pro and mbp. Am I doing this correctly? Cant figure out why these new photos are not showing in AP iPad? I do have Download and Keep Originals checked on my iPad Pro (new Gen 2 12.9" 10.3.2)
  13. Silly question, I know. But have you made sure your pencil battery is charged enough?
  14. Thanks, tried a hard reset and did not fix it. I'll just live with it. This is a new 12.9" and I'm still getting used to it, love it and have found no problems with it.
  15. I have noticedca change in action when I am on this Forum. Now what does that have to do with my update to 1.6.2, LOL but that is when it started. I now have to tap a thread twice to open it. Every time. No big deal just weird that it happens to a forum in safari after updating the Affinity App. I gaze at a couple other forums and checked and they are still one tap to open a thread
  16. Just wondered if you were going to update Raw Photo Editing after the latest AP update, 1.6.2. I have read so much here and there about importing raw images directly from Photos, I dont know whether I can eliminate that step of transferring them into my icloud drive on my mac or not. Thank you
  17. I am editing my photos on a 9.7" iPad Pro and that size is fine. Update: received a new 12.9" on 6/17. Still reviewing some of the differences in this new one/different size before I use AP on it. But looking forward to it, love both my 12.9" so far and my prev use of AP on my 9.7" iPP.
  18. Downloaded today's update. Fixed the Export issue. Wonderful App, well done, Serif guys!
  19. Update - well, I was going to start all over from scratch, it was just four photos. So I deleted the original icloud photos (transferred fom camera) on my MBP. When I deleted those, the edited versions exported from iPad AP immeditately populated MBP iCloud drive in Finder. I cant figure that out but I got where I wanted, edited photos from ipad AP showing on my MBP icloud drive. Still have the second question from above....is it correct that all my edited photos in AP for iPad are showing on ipad AP Home Screen. After editing I am not saving, I am exporting to icloud drive. I dont know what's going to happen when I get lots of photos showing on AP Home Screen.
  20. When I first used APfor iPad last week, when I tried to export to the iCloud Drive, I just got a spinning cog. Was advised to Disable Embed Metadata and it appeared to be working. If I try to open it again in AP, I can see my exported jpeg pic (edited version) on the iPad iCloud Drive. But I then went to my MBP and looked and the pic I edited and exported from the ipad is not showing on the MBP's iCloud Drive. I do have Affinity Photo checked in the icloud in System Preferences. I see the original photos that I transferred from my camera to the icloud drive (for opening from with AP/iPad) but not those edited ones. Is there not a Handoff from the ipad iCloud Drive to the MBP's? Or am I doing something wrong? One more question....the screen that comes up when I open up AP on my iPad is now filling up with all the photos I am opening/editing. Even tho I am exporting and not saving them. Is that right? I cant imagine what's gonna happen after I have done that with a few hundred photos.
  21. I have bought two macbook pro's refurbished. Zero issues with either. One is a 2012, still going strong, that I gifted to my grandaughter when I got my 2015.
