my understanding for this problem is zero! this bug is sooo old and it is impossible to make icons for websites - which i would like to do very often. i have to look for another program now, which can be used for making icons. it's a joke that this is not being fixed. it worked in the beginning of affinity designer, so this can't be a very big problem to fix. affinity started very well and hopeful, but because of all the different versions coming out they lost focus on the most important thing: reliability and fast bug fixing. very sad...

i have half of the panels docked to left side and the other half is docked to the right. on the left side is the assets panel (also) but the layers panel is in front.

i am missing this feature as well. makes it possible to resize (make them smaller) images quickly and save them in the smaller size. used this feature very often in fireworks.

the document is still moving to the left by a good amount each time one switches persona view.

hi, i am not very good in working with paths. today i wanted to draw a simple checkmark with the pen tool. the stroke should have a width of 2px (or more) and an angle lager than 90 degrees. the problem (for me) is, that i want the lower/middle part to be spiky. but at an angle above 90 degrees the middle parts starts to become flat (see attached image). what is the trick? thank you for your help and kind regards dennis

+2 this would be very helpful, because with every new version or beta i have to arrange everything new on at least the draw and pixel persona. the same with the navigation bar on top. this is a reason, why i do not work with all the betas productive, because i do not want to arrange everything every few days.

hi, any news about my request? it still does not make a lot of sense, that cmd + zooms to the center of the actual view. instead zooming in the selected object would help (me) a lot. thanks!

nice hint, but i do not want to set my entire system to english, just the apps i am using for development. the one reason is, because i always worked with the english version of the apps, that i do not understand the options and tools in german language. another reason is, that most of the forums (like yours) is in english. how should i help, ask or explain english speaking people, if i don't know the options and tools name in english? there should be an option to choose the desired language or at least a "hack" in a plist file (or whatever), where i can set the wanted language.

oh no, please don't force me to use the german translation!!! i never worked with apps in german language (although i am german) and i do not even understand what the options mean in german. please tell me, how i can force AD to use the english language!?

i don't like the "tab-feature" either as i also like to toggle between input fields by using tab. because of all those half and smaller pixel coordinates one has to use the transform fields like crazy (very disturbing for web guy like me). i also hoped for a little bit more usability wise like "zoom to selected element (and not somewhere else) when using cmd +", "show hex color code in HSL wheel", "remember the last tool used in each persona when switching between personas", "a working and real snapping to FULL pixels" and some more... don't get me wrong, i love AD and i think it has the potential (not yet but soon) to replace freehand and also fireworks for the ui and web designers among us. there are so many good photo editing apps out there so there is no need to rush with this one. i am also looking forward to your photo app but i would prefer to see a faster progress in the development of AD.

just keep your roadmap up! i know that things, which look simple for the unknowing, often are one of the most time consuming ones.

personally i like panning with the mouse, so disabling it would not be an option for me. but in AD it seems to be very, very sensitive. perhaps it is possible to lower the sensity? in fireworks the mouse is less sensitive.

i agree. now that i work with AD every day i also feel that the panning with the magic mouse is way to sensitive. when working on an element and having a finger on the mouse, the document is moving very often.

you can already do this by checking "Absolute sizes" near where you select the size itself.

wow, great, thank you for the fast implementation of the two hex-features! they work like a charm and help a lot. perhaps you will find the space (in a future version) for a tiny "copy hex color to clipboard" button directly in the color panels - perhaps directly to the left of the # (doesn't need to be larger than the # itself)? this would fit nicely in ALL color panels like HSL :-D thanks again for the great app and your support!

hi, i am still exploring AD and loving it more and more. two suggestions for slices - although you already have really nice and different ways to make slices - would be the following: - if i am on the export persona, select two elements and then select (right klick) "create slice" i (me personally) would want both selected elements to be in one slice. i know, that others would want to have both elements in seperated slices. therefor it would be nice if one could select "create single slice" and "create (multi) slice" or that AD asks, if one wants a single or multiple slice (like fireworks). if this feature is not implemented, i need to goup both elements before i make a slice out of them. the real problem about this is, that i can not build groups within the export persona. so i have to go back to another persona, make a group and then go back again to the export persona to select a slice. i had this happen a lot of times within the past days and i simply can not become used to this. perhaps i am not alone!? - experience whise i always use the "layer select tool" and nearly never the "slice tool". but every single time i enter the export persona, the "slice tool" is selected and i have to switch to the "layer select tool" manually. it would be very helpful, if AD would remember the last used tool on each persona - at least while the program is running and not restarted.

i know about the cmd + shift + 0 shortcut and i like it and use it a lot - very helpful. but i still do not understand which logic the cmd+/- zoom shortcut follows. whichever logic this is, why not let it zoom to a selected element, if an element is selected? i am very used to it like all the other fireworks users and this behaviour seems very logical to me. if nothing is selected, the cmd+ shortcut can work like it works at the moment in every situation.
