The TIF standard by default doesn't support layers, however apps like PS and Affinity Photo can export to a Tif file with layers but the layer data/information is kept in a separate TIF tag which is then read by the app opening the file (if supported). However the method of how this data is written/read may vary, especially if from an older app to begin with, which may be the case with CS6, this isn't the case if exporting out as PSD.

As with most requests, try breaking down the design into shapes/lines that you can easily create within Affinity apps.

Thanks for the report however for us to pass over to our developers we need a series of steps or process that reproduces the issue. Can you please expand on your workflow upto when the crash occurs? Does it only happen on an existing project or even on a new blank one? Can you also confirm the model of iPad you have and also please check it's available storage.

Hi @Bridgewater.South Welcome to the forums. The tables in Publisher don't have that kind of customisation available, you can see most of the available on the Table studio panel. You could create something similar using text frames or shapes(would need to be converted to a text frame). Then position and size as required, at the point of completing the design you could group those together and create duplicates to use in other areas of your project.

I've seen this occur if the data was pasted in from a web browser as it may have formatting not recognised by Publisher. To attempt to remove the background select the incorrect piece of text and go to Edit > Defaults > Factory Reset and then Edit > Defaults > Synchronize from Selection. There are some other suggestions in the following thread that may also help. Also, any particular reason you seem to be using a beta version as that would've been superseded by the release of the update to Publisher at the beginning of March?

RGB Hex Bug - Setting a hex code changes it to RBG...
Lee D replied to chris960's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
@chris960 Please confirm your workflow in steps or a screen recording. As applying that Hex code to a shape, de-selecting and using the colour picker on something else and re-selecting the original shape, the hex colour is still valid. -
Export to pdf does not include layer effect
Lee D replied to Jany's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
Hi @Jany Welcome to the forums. Can you confirm the process you use to setup, is this using a Text Frame or Artistic Text? Which PDF preset are you selecting when exporting? -
Hi @Dr_Buhu Welcome to the forums. Can you confirm your exact workflow so I can try to reproduce the issue. As for me pressing STRG or CTRL for me + Z will undo the last thing I did. Have you tried resetting the app? Hold down Control and open the app, when the window appears, release the key and click Clear.

In terms of your workflow and layer structure, have you considered merging the visible layers to create a new single pixel layer for you to then use the tools on? You'll still have the original layers intact, just in case and can revert back to them if needed. We do have a couple of issues logged against these tools, so changes may be made in the future to how they operate.

A lot may depend on the image used and if it's edges have areas such as shadows that the filter will affect. A couple of different workflows to try, merging your fill and pattern layers first into a single layer Did you use the Live Shadows & Highlights filter or the version from the Filter menu dropdown?

Hi @dfbosche To confirm your workflow: 1, You're opening an image that has no colour profile assigned 2, Affinity Photo assigned the default sRGB profile to the image as indicated 3, You print this image from within Affinity Photo, settings are set for the app to manage colour. The printout is not as expected, colours are out (Remember unless your system has been fully colour calibrated, screen and print colours will never be exact) If you repeat the above, but this time after the app assigns the default profile you then manually assigned the same sRGB profile to the image and then print. The printout colours are more closely matched.

The grid will not fill the page.
Lee D replied to TheZedda's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on iPad Questions
Hi @TheZedda This is a known issue that occurs with 12.9 inch iPads when the zoom option within the OS is enabled. This is logged with our developers to investigate further. -
procedural texture filter issues (multiple)
Lee D replied to NotMyFault's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
I've passed the first 3 issues over to the developers. In reference to No4 could you take me through your workflow for this when setting the doc up and comparing Windows and macOS. -
For it to be fixed we need to replicate it, from taking a look on my systems, it's not something I currently experience. Is this happening for you with any brush in Designer, vector and raster? Which version of macOS are you running and is Designer up to date (1.10.5)?
