  1. @ldavis1919 Welcome to the forums.

As the crashing seems random, I'd recommend fully removing the app* from iPadOS, restarting and then downloading again from the App Store.

*Before uninstalling please backup/save all open documents within the app as these will be deleted. Also if you use the apps folder on iCloud please back this up or rename it as this is also deleted as part of the uninstall.

If you continue to have issues, please confirm the model and iPad and version of iPadOS running as well as any workflows that may relate to the crashes occurring.

  2. Due to how our apps are designed and run it's rare for them to cause a crash that requires a system restart. This is normally a kernel level event which our app doesn't access but things like drivers can.

We are aware of these issues, it's worth checking to make sure you have the correct graphics drivers installed, especially since the screens are going blank.

You can also check the app for crash reports that corresponds which the displays going blank by following the steps in this FAQ article. Upload them here so they can be checked.

  3. The iPad versions have to use the Apple Air Print built into the OS which is limited in what it can do. Until this allows more advanced features you'll need to export your project as individual files such as JPEGs or PNGs. Another option would be to export as PDF which should contain your artboards in one file.

Some printer manufactures have created their own iOS app for printing to their devices. It may be worth checking if yours has one as these generally give you more printer options, uploading your exporting file through that.

  4. Can you expand on your workflow and confirm your system spec and OS version. Can you do a screen recording showing your workflow and system behaviour, including opening Windows Task Manager? Can you open the apps Preferences > Performance to see if Hardware Acceleration is enabled, if so please turn OFF and restart the app. If not what is the Display/Renderer currently set to?

In terms of testing we've many different specs of systems that the apps are tested on from low to high spec and in between.

  5. @Curiously Strong Welcome to the forums.

It's not something I can currently replicate on my system. Is this the only layer in your document or do you have any adjustment or filter layers as Hardware Acceleration can cause a few render issues and small glitches.

Have you tried turning off Hardware Acceleration (Metal Compute) in the apps Preferences > Performance to see if this makes any difference?

  6. Hi @dukc Welcome to the forums.

I can check your dmp file checked when back in the office next week to see if it reveals anything. In the mean time try the following suggestion to see if they resolve the issue for you.

First try resetting the app to default, hold down the CTRL key and open the app. A window should appear, at this point release the key and click Clear. There are other others that can be enabled but for the moment just have the default ones enabled.

If the above doesn't resolve the issue, try updating your video card drivers.

You can also try turning off Hardware Acceleration within the app, see this FAQ post.
