  1. This has been previously discussed by the developers as users wanted the tool to work a certain way. Because of this and how the Node tool has been engineered and either way results in a conflict with the Alt modifier I believe it will remain how it is.
  2. Thanks @patrick_h_lauke I've logged these with our developers to investigate further as you state there may be more instances of this occurring within the UI.
  3. @Wyness Have you tried opening Preferences > Performance and setting the Renderer to WARP and also making sure Hardware Acceleration is turned off. This bypasses your graphics card and uses the software to render, do you still experience issues then? If the app is crashing, have you checked for a crash report to upload to be checked?
  4. Hi @Stephen Coyle Welcome to the forums. As your exporting to an image file you don't need to be applying a profile designed for paper.
  5. @qolbinurwandi This is more related to rendering than a bug and can occur more with larger brush sizes. I can log an improvement request with our developers to review to see if anything can be improved in the future.
  6. Still in Preferences > Performance you can try changing the Renderer to WARP, this will bypass the graphic drivers. If the issue resolves if may be worth checking to make sure which version of the drivers app installed.
  8. Can you provide an example of this occurring (screenshot) and the file used so I can confirm?
  9. Hi @Barkbat Welcome to the forums. Which OS version are you using and have you tried restarting the system and also removing and reinstalling the app?
  10. @ldavis1919 Welcome to the forums. As the crashing seems random, I'd recommend fully removing the app* from iPadOS, restarting and then downloading again from the App Store. *Before uninstalling please backup/save all open documents within the app as these will be deleted. Also if you use the apps folder on iCloud please back this up or rename it as this is also deleted as part of the uninstall. If you continue to have issues, please confirm the model and iPad and version of iPadOS running as well as any workflows that may relate to the crashes occurring.
  11. It will just look for the nearest text to pin to, sometimes it can lose it self but thats why it's designed to be manually adjusted.
  12. Due to how our apps are designed and run it's rare for them to cause a crash that requires a system restart. This is normally a kernel level event which our app doesn't access but things like drivers can. We are aware of these issues, it's worth checking to make sure you have the correct graphics drivers installed, especially since the screens are going blank. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&q=amd&quick=1&type=forums_topic&nodes=90 You can also check the app for crash reports that corresponds which the displays going blank by following the steps in this FAQ article. Upload them here so they can be checked.
  13. It's worth checking to see if Hardware Acceleration is enabled within the apps Preferences > Performance section. If so, please try turning OFF and then restarting the app and trying again. Is this only happening on this particular document, if so can you provide a download link?
  14. The iPad versions have to use the Apple Air Print built into the OS which is limited in what it can do. Until this allows more advanced features you'll need to export your project as individual files such as JPEGs or PNGs. Another option would be to export as PDF which should contain your artboards in one file. Some printer manufactures have created their own iOS app for printing to their devices. It may be worth checking if yours has one as these generally give you more printer options, uploading your exporting file through that.
  15. Hi @Anne de Vries Welcome to the forums. The iPad version of the Affinity apps don't have an option to change the UI from dark to light, sorry.
  16. Can you expand on your workflow and confirm your system spec and OS version. Can you do a screen recording showing your workflow and system behaviour, including opening Windows Task Manager? Can you open the apps Preferences > Performance to see if Hardware Acceleration is enabled, if so please turn OFF and restart the app. If not what is the Display/Renderer currently set to? In terms of testing we've many different specs of systems that the apps are tested on from low to high spec and in between.
  17. Hi @Akanixon Welcome to the forums. Open the apps Preferences > Performance and check to see if Hardware Acceleration is enabled, if so please turn OFF and restart the app, this should bypass using OpenCL. Can you also confirm the driver version thats currently running on your system and have you recently updated them?
  18. Have you tried having Task Manager open to see what else is running at the same time as this isn't something that can be currently reproduced on our Ryzen based systems. Is this any workflow with any document or specific ones? Have you tried creating a new Admin user account in Windows? Please confirm the version number of the drivers and are they game ready or studio?
  19. @Curiously Strong Welcome to the forums. It's not something I can currently replicate on my system. Is this the only layer in your document or do you have any adjustment or filter layers as Hardware Acceleration can cause a few render issues and small glitches. Have you tried turning off Hardware Acceleration (Metal Compute) in the apps Preferences > Performance to see if this makes any difference?
  20. Hi @dukc Welcome to the forums. I can check your dmp file checked when back in the office next week to see if it reveals anything. In the mean time try the following suggestion to see if they resolve the issue for you. First try resetting the app to default, hold down the CTRL key and open the app. A window should appear, at this point release the key and click Clear. There are other others that can be enabled but for the moment just have the default ones enabled. If the above doesn't resolve the issue, try updating your video card drivers. You can also try turning off Hardware Acceleration within the app, see this FAQ post.
  21. Hi @ggglw Welcome to the forums. Have you try changing the file association to make sure it's set to use Photo. However it's strange if it still opens Publisher even if you using File > Open in Photo, if this is happening can you do a quick screen recording.
  22. On iPadOS any placed documents are embedded and there isn't an option to change this to Linked, this may be possible in a future version. Also unlike desktop the iPad version does have an option to update the linked resources if updated externally.
  23. I've logged this issue with our developers as I also found another small issue with the same dialogue but on macOS.
  24. Hi @Thu Ha, This is a known issue that our apps currently have and is logged with our developers to investigate further.
  25. Hi @PizzaBoatJim Welcome to the forums. Can you open the apps Preferences > Performance and if Hardware Acceleration is enabled, please disable, restart the system and try again. If you continue to have an issue please can you provide a file you're testing with and the spec of your system.
