  1. It's also crashing for me, even if some/all of the steps are removed. Without knowing the exact record process it may be difficult to narrow down the cause.

    Can you try recording the macro again but also recording the screen at the same time so I can see the whole process.

    In reference to the included document, any particular reason for the layer structure?

  3. Have you tried opening the same RAW file using File > Open instead of going through the Astrophotography stacker? Since you're using macOS you can also try switching the RAW engine over in the Develop personas Assistant.

    Some users prefer to pre-process their RAW files and use TIFFS instead, it's something worth trying, just in case.

    Otherwise it will be providing some of the files so we can do some testing.

  4. @radium56 Have you tried the suggestions above that @thomaso has linked to? As clearing the user data should resolve the issue for you.

    @Heyhi You may/may not have the same issue as it will depend if the crash reports shows the same. If they do please try the suggestions above, if not please start a new forum post expanding on the issue and your workflow.

     

  5. @vpkumar Welcome to the forum.

    You're getting the prompt to open a recovery file when reopening the app due to the crash as it will load the last autosave. Can you open the apps Preferences > Performance and check to see if you have Hardware Acceleration/Metal Compute (Windows/macOS) enabled. If so please disable, restart the app and try your workflow again, if it still occurs please expand some more on the issue, also see if it happens with a new blank document.

  6. @JKR For an existing file have you checked its file properties to see if any security has been enabled as our apps don't have any options for this as it's OS level.

    Right click the app icon and try running as Admin and then starting a new file, adding some content then then try saving to the desktop. If the same occurs please do a screen recording showing the whole process.

    If you have any AV or Firewall software running, try turning this off while trying to save. it's been known for some to restrict writing access to some apps.

    Try creating a new Admin user account in Windows to test using as it may be caused by permissions.

    Can you use File > Export and save as PDF or other file type?
