  1. Hi @Rosemary Hobbs Welcome to the forums.

Have you noticed if the crash occurs when doing something particular within Publisher? Please have a read of this FAQ article as a recent Windows update does seem to be causing some issues for users.

If after checking for the above Windows update you're still experiencing crashes please follow the steps in this FAQ to look for a recent crash report to upload for it to be checked.

  2. Hi @Malrex Welcome to the forums.

If you can provide a copy of the PDF your opening that has the issues and also provide an example of how it differs, I can take a look.

Apart from that, instead of using File > Open on the PDF have you tried starting a new blank document and using File > Place to place the PDF or Document > Add Pages from File.  Apart from that it may be a case of recreating the document using Publisher so everything is in the correct position.

  3. Hi @lennybunny Welcome to the forums.

If the file is showing as corrupted on opening there may be very little that can be done to recover it. One possible method is to start a new blank document and then use Document > Add Pages from File. Select the file and see if it will populate the new document with the pages.

Otherwise it will be a case of hopefully reverting to a backup to use.

  4. Hi @Eddie2022

    Welcome to the forums.

The SVG export in Photo and Designer doesn't have an option to include metadata, unlike some raster formats such as JPEG and PNG.

On the Export window, you can adjust these options and those under the More heading to then create a preset using the Manage Presets button.

No current plans to add metadata features to Designer, perhaps in the future.

  5. The linked article above (What exactly do the Clear user Data options clear?) provides you with the location of where the file is stored based on which app and store version you have installed.

So within the user folder will be a Develop.propcol file, this is the one to backup and then copy to the same location on the other system.

  6. Hi @typeglyph

Can you please try resetting the app first, hold down the CTRL key and open. When the window appears release the key and click Clear. Once the app is open start a new document and try reproducing the issue. If you can, please confirm the steps taken to reproduce so I may try on our systems.

If I can reproduce the issue I can then pass it over to the developers.

  7. Welcome @Gary M R to the forums.

The Sources panel will only appear when certain tools (Healing/Patch tools )are selected after a focus merge has been completed. As using the Sources panel with these tools allows you to select the source image to use.

In Affinity Photo on iPad the Sources panel isn't available as the UI doesn't have options for pop up/moving panels like the Desktop versions. This may be something that may be improved in a future release.

  8. @Seikilos I can't reproduce the issue following your video/steps on my Windows 10 system. However I don't have any of the recent Windows updates installed. So I believe you are experiencing the issue we're already aware of that relates to some recent Windows updates. It may be worth temporally uninstalling any recent updates and retest as some other updates may also cause the same issue that we're unaware of.

  9. Hi @ericeric

The FujiFilm X-H2 isn't officially supported by our RAW engine, so this may explain the issues you're seeing. It's also worth noting that RAW engines can develop images differently to others, and some Fuji files can have colour profiles applied.

I can't give an eta on when that model will be added as we do use a third party RAW engine and have to wait for this to be updated first. We can then pull the update and add to our app.

  10. @6074747386 We do have some issues with against OneDrive and our apps already logged with our developers. It's worth making sure that your OneDrive app is up to date and has been opened since updating. As this will also update the Files app which is built into iPadOS and is what our app uses to interface with local and cloud storage.

  11. The issue seems to be related to the brushes installed on your iPad. Can you confirm your workflow that leads up to a crash? Are the brushes you're using third party ones purchased from our Affinity Store or somewhere else? Can you confirm which brushes there are?

Do the crashes occur if you use the default brushes?

Do this happen when using just the Apple Pencil or when using your finger as well?

Which model iPad do you have and which version of iPadOS is it running?

  12. @Allison K Lynoo So far with your file I haven't experienced an issues. I can open, edit, save back to that file or use Save As to create a new version and then do the same tests with that version and still nothing.

Can you check to see what else is running on your system at the same time, such as backup software. Perhaps try stopping or disabling them to see if it makes any difference? If any of the files are listed as Linked, are these stored locally?
