  1. Hi Sylvio, Welcome to the forums. If an image with an actual path, you can do the following to mask. With your image open, you can use the Quick Mask option, then the Selection Brush to select your area. Then you click Quick Mask again to get your selection and use Layer > New Mask Layer. Another option would be to use the Quick Selection tool, then Layer > New Mask Layer. You can then save this as a .afphoto file or export as PNG for example. If when you say "Path" you're referring to the path of a Pen Tool for example, then it's something different.
  2. Hi Clara, When you're creating a new document, try entering the dimensions using a period and not a comma, also remember to set the DPI to 300.
  3. Hi adrianchen617, Welcome to the forums. This only applies to Windows 7,when you disable Aero it also disables hardware graphics composition. Affinity is hardware accelerated to achieve smooth panning/zooming and rendering. It also uses a different graphics driver, not the normal one from Nvidia or AMD that you will have installed.
  4. Hi janieh473 Welcome to the forums. It's always worth duplicating your image and working from the copy. You can just use the Selection Brush to select an area, then switch to the Develop Person or the Adjustment Panel.
  5. Hi nitro912gr, Welcome to the forums. On the Colour panel, make sure your have CMYK selected, right click on the Panel Preferences. Now make sure Percentage is enabled, you should then notice the slider will change from 8bit (0 to 255) to Percentage (0 to 100). Affinity Designer doesn't have a feature like Recolour in AI, it does have Global colours, but these need to be setup on the Swatches palette.
  6. Hi Rusty Arrow, Welcome to the forums. You can use the HSL adjustment, selecting Greens on the dropdown menu and adjusting. Then switch to the Paint brush Tool and make sure the colour is set to Black and paint overs the areas to recover the colour, avoiding the greens. See this video tutorial for some more information.
  7. Hi vassiton, Welcome to the forums. As you thought, just use the Selection Brush to select the area you wish to adjust, once selected switch to Exposure on the Adjustment tab and move the slider.
  8. Hi Innes, Welcome to the forums. It would just be a case of downloading and installing the font from Github. When using one of the iOS assets to simply switch the font over as we don't have a way of telling Designer to always use a different font for the assets.
  9. On the New Document dialogue, select Photo as your Type and Page Preset change to 11R (14 x 11in)
  10. Hi Van Griff, Welcome to the forum. I've just tested DxO Optics Pro 11(Trial) and one if it's sample .NEF files, export to Application, as a .DNG file, selecting Affinity Photo (1.4.3) on macOS and it worked with no issues. Can you confirm the version of DxO you're using and just confirm your OS as well.
English translation: Welcome to the forums. When placing an order for Designer, try selecting the PayPal option instead. When you are taken to the PayPal page, click the button to pay using a credit or debit card option. If PayPal are unable to accept your card information I suggest contacting your bank.
  12. Hi Alan Black, The help is built into the app, it's not streaming from any external source. We don't have any PDF's available, however if you follow the steps on this post you can extract the help and create your own PDF.
  13. Hi nico46, Welcome to the forums. It's not possible to search for images based on photo tags, the Open dialogue has a search option but this is for the filename. If these can organised by albums in Apple Photos, the Media browser built into Photo could browse, but you would still only be able to search by filename. If you think this would be a nice feature to have, please post it on the Features Request section of this forum.
  14. Hi Lumbago, Welcome to the forums. $39.99 is the correct price in USD, 439 NOK is the correct discounted price in NOK, otherwise it would be 549NOK. This is because this is the rate that Apple sells the products for on the Mac App Store it is not something we have control over. The pricing is the same for the Windows range as it is for the Mac range as it wouldn't be fair for one operating system to be cheaper than the other. Once purchased, you'll receive an order confirmation email with a link inside to download the freebies.
  15. Hi bulajap, Welcome to the forums. While the developers continue to work through the development roadmap for each app they continue to receive free updates.
  16. Hi HairyDalek, The panorama feature doesn't have an option to ignore the EXIF data, can you post or PM me a Dropbox/Google Drive link to some of your files so I can test them. It may be something our developers can improve for a future update. Once I finished with the files, they will be deleted.
  17. Hi strodell, What happens if you have the app open, then drag an image into the main window, does it open? When you use the File menu, what is available, can you take a screenshot? Regards L
  18. Hi nicky, Welcome to the forums. Try starting to app with the CTRL key held, when the other window appears release the key and press Clear. The app will then open, now try importing the asset file. If this doesn't work, follow the same steps. This time on the window, check to Reset Assets and then Clear. This will also reset the assets, so if you have create any or have added any others before, these will also need to be installed again.
  19. Hi Kevin, A smoothing tool is something that has been previously been requested and may be a feature included in a future update. Have you tried selecting to shape and then switching to the Node tool and try reducing the amount of nodes to see if this makes the the line smoother.
  20. Hi JohnPainter, This is an issue we are aware of and is logged with the developers to look into. The resolution of the document you're pasting to should have no effect on vector objects.
  21. Hi atlemael, Welcome to the forums. Affinity Photo is still being developed and improvements are always being made to different areas of the app. I've just tested the DAUB Gouche brushes on my MacBook Pro and didn't notice any performance issues. When you was using them, what settings did you have?
  22. Hi Folgore67, Thanks for the offer, our current 1.5 beta of Photo has those cameras on it's supported RAW list, if you're having issues with them please let me know. Once you have opened a .CR2 file try clicking on View > Show Context Toolbar and see if it's checked. Whats the make and model of camera the the .CR2 file has come from?
  23. Affinity Designer doesn't have an cutout studio, you would use on the one selection tools/brushes in the Pixel Persona to select the area and then delete. Designer can be used to create UI layouts for websites but in no way is it a web design program like WebPlus. We don't have any current plans to develop an Affinity replacement for WebPlus. Take a look at our video tutorials, these will show how the program works and some of its many features.
  24. I think a lot depends on the images and if they do need to be adjusted once they have been opened. If they don't you can switch to the Photo Persona and continue working on them. The other thing to consider is, it's not Photoshop, it's going to do things different, some of your workflow may change because in Affinity Photo comes tools work in a different way.
