  1. Hi Designer123,

    Welcome to the forums.

You must enable local snapping to help you align nodes, select the Node Tool, on the context toolbar press Snap to selected curves button on the Snap section, you also some other available options, just in case. Now when you drag nodes Affinity should display guidelines to help you get them aligned.

If you want to align with nodes from a different shape, you must select it too pressing shift and clicking on the shape while you're on the Node Tool.

Also on the Snapping dropdown, you have more options available that be be enabled or disabled.

If you have any suggestions on features you would like to see, please post them in the Feature Requests section of forum.

  2. Hi OldHickory30,

The colour profiles will first need to be installed within the OS, if you're running macOS follow these steps:

They should be installed in the Library folder (Colorsync > Profiles) located in your User's folder. The Library folder is hidden but can be accessed by selecting the Go menu (in Finder) and holding down the Option key.

    For Windows:

Right click on the profile in Windows Explorer and click Install profile or copy the .icc profile to C:\Windows\system32\spool\drivers\color.  Open Control Center ▸ Color Management and then add the profile to the system by clicking the Add button. Click on the Advanced tab and look for Display Calibration. Calibration curve loading is enabled by the Use Windows display calibration checkbox but it is not sensitive. This can be enabled by clicking on Change system defaults and then returning to the Advanced tab and then clicking the checkbox. Close the dialog and click Reload current calibrations to set the gamma ramps. The profile calibration curves should now be set for every boot.

Once they have been installed, you can change the app over to them via Preferences > Colour. Or you can use the Soft Proofing option which is available on the Adjustments tab.

  3. Hi Eoin,

    Welcome to the forums.

Select one of the existing pages, the last one for example, now select the Artboard Tool from the left hand side menu (Below Move Tool). On the Context toolbar now click on Create Artboard, and a new one will be inserted with the same dimensions as the one selected. Once created you can then rename it by double clicking on the Artboard in the Layers tab and then moving it into position.
