  1. See this section of a YouTube video on how to clip an image to a shape using Affinity Photo.
  2. It may be you need to create a texture first, then create a brush based on the texture. You can even create and use more than one texture in a brush, see this post for links to some user tutorials.
  3. They will be stored within .propcol files for the Develop persona or the Adjustments, they are stored in different locations depending on the OS. We don't advised attempting to edit these files, this is done at your own risk. macOS: ~/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner/Data/Library/Application Support/user/ Windows: %appdata%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\user
  4. Check the Files app in iOS, are the locations available as our app uses that to save to various locations.
  5. Are your camera models on the supported RAW list for the RAW engine built into iOS that Affinity Photo uses? When you are importing from Photos is the file you're selecting have the RAW icon and if you was to view it in Photos, does it look correct?
  6. It's not currently possible in Publisher at the moment, you would need to export to PDF. Then using a third party app add the Alt text to the images and save the PDF. It has been already requested and may be a feature added in a future update.
  7. For the Inpainting Tool, is the layer you're working on, a Pixel layer, if not right click and Rasterise. The Clone Tool has an option to define the source layer on the Context Toolbar, check to make sure this is set correctly, also check to see if Aligned is enabled. When selecting the Clone Tool, you don't need to click anywhere first to get the crosshair, just hold down Alt/Option, then click to set the area. If an issue still exists please do a screen recording showing the tools in use.
  8. Navigate to one of the below locations from the Run Dialog. In this folder you will find Crash Reports generated by our apps. Please send us the .dmp file with the latest Created/Modified Date. Affinity Designer: %APPDATA%\Affinity\Designer\1.0\CrashReports Affinity Photo %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports Affinity Publisher %APPDATA%\Affinity\Publisher\1.0\CrashReports Also, when exporting are you able to specify the location, if so have you tried changing this to your desktop?
  9. Not come across DisplayFusion before, we are aware of an issue with another app that also causes an issue with the UI. Duet Display lets you use your phone or iPad as an external monitor.
  10. You first need to define the source of the Clone Tool by holding Alt (Windows) or Option (macOS) and click. Once this has been done you'll notice when you move your brush, it's a clone of the area defined by the crosshair and once you click drag it will clone from that point. It's not designed to sample within the the brush preview, see this video tutorial on the Clone Tool.
  11. If you select the bottom layer, then hold Shift and click the top layer this will select all, then click the lock icon.
  12. If you use the Export option from the Document menu, exporting to Google Drive is available. I'm sure we're aware of the issue exporting from the Export persona and it's been passed over to our developers to investigate, but I'm not in the office to confirm.
  13. @Dempsey@doodle If you click View > Customise Tools you can add/remove icons from the left hand toolbar, it can also be reset to default.
  14. We have just released our 1.7 update to our Affinity apps, we will continue to release free updates to our 1.X versions. If we decide to release a version 2.X this would be a paid for upgrade, however the 1.X versions will still continue to work.
  15. It will be worth checking this link as it lists which plugins have been tested, however a lot of the plugins may of been updated and most of the testing was done using Affinity Photo 1.6. See if your plugin has any updates available and make sure you have Affinity Photo 1.7 release installed. The Nik collection 2 can be installed, I believe only one of the plugins doesn't work correctly, HDR Efex if I remember. See these video tutorials for the install process.
  16. Can you see the Context Toolbar as the two are usually together, if you have a dual monitor setup, check to see if the toolbar is on that screen instead or behind another window. If you come out of Separated Mode does the toolbar reappear?
  17. Do you have any table formats setup, if you can't see the panel use View > Studio > Table Formats. If you only have one, right click and select Edit Default, take a screenshot of this window.
  18. If you haven't can you try the latest beta to see if the issue is resolved. Have you also tried turning off Hardware Acceleration and changing the Display option in Preferences > Performance to see if this has any effect.
  19. The feature to create a colour palette from an image is limited to loading one image at a time. It also can't be recorded into a macro either as it doesn't record the loading of the image or setting the amount of colours for the palette, to run as a batch process.
  20. Use Help > About if you are running 1.7.1 you have the latest versions of the apps installed. If not login to the store you purchased the apps from to download the latest update. See the attached screenshot of my Windows Font folder, it lists both fonts as being installed, this allows Affinity to use them. Does yours show the fonts as being installed?
  21. If you do a search of the help for Custom Blur it will find the filters page. You can also use the online help file to show the same information here, and it is a destructive filter. The High Pass filter is available as a Live Filter from the Layer > New Live Layer dropdown menu which is non destructive and as a destructive filter on the Filter menu dropdown.
  22. Can you try downloading and installing the latest Designer beta alongside your existing version to see if this resolves the issue. Do you have a lot of fonts installed on your system, if you open the Font folder/Font Settings, can you locate both the reported missing fonts. You could also try rebuilding the font cache in Windows, but I would try the above suggestions first.
  23. This is something I haven't come across and can't seem to reproduce. It sounds like you're using the Polygonal type, as you're single clicking to set a point, this is logged on the History panel and CTRL + Z will also undo. Unless the selection is set (Marching ants), at this point the History panel is updated and CTRL + Z will undo the entire selection. Are you doing anything between setting a point? Can you do a screen recording showing the issue?
