SVG is the standard for vector graphics--not .ai files. Adobe Illustrator and any other respectable vector graphics software should be able to import/export the SVG file format. Including the ability to edit paths, etc.

So.. this is from a year ago. Has this changed? I'm having difficulty exporting part of a design. Thanks.

Any news on this feature request? I used to use this feature all the time in Inkscape. And now I'm kind of used to it. Also, the YouTube video tutorial is not available in the US.
