Stitching panoramas problem

Have tried to stitch 2 Affinity Photo files images (see screen shot images attached) and continue to be unsuccessful. I've tried changing the suffix w/o successpload

I want to enlarge a photo and then use that as a border around the same un-enlarged photo. What is the most efficient and non-distructive way to go about this? Thanks!

Hello, I've just finished preping my son's photo portfolio for college admission. What is the best format to use when exporting so that images can be opened on PC or Mac? Thanks mucho!
