Hi. A while ago I posted that my iPad Pro 13 M4 (18.2.1) keeps crashing when using Affinity Designer 2. I got nowhere then, so decided to carry on regardless due the amount of documents I have. Anyway, it still keeps crashing and there seems to be no regular pattern, but today is really frustrating as I thought I had lost a drawing as every time I tried to save or rename the project the programme crashed! It happened so often this morning that I manage to get a screen recording but that only proves I was trying to save a file. Any help to solve this will be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

Just another thought - battery life is still poor although Apple say it’s not an iPad issue. Perhaps multi-tasking (2 or 3 open apps, usually inc Safari for research) is the cause?

Hi. It’s not really practical to record the screen as I often jump between applications. As far as the crash reports go, there are quite a few and I’ve attached one here plus a screen shot. However, since the latest Apple iPad update last week (17.6.1) it has not crashed - perhaps it is cured? 😀 Thank you for your time Geoff

I’m very concerned that after upgrading my iPad Pro to a new IPad Pro 13 M4 1TB iOS 17.4.1, Affinity Designer 2 now crashes regularly, (at least twice a session) loosing all the last drawings back to the last backup. I’ve set the autosave interval to 120 seconds so I only loose 2 minutes of work each time but this is getting beyond a joke now. Also since upgrading Affinity Designer 2 appears to use an excessive amount of battery when compared to my last iPad Pro, so much so that I actually took my new iPad to the Apple shop to have it checked. There were no issues with the older iPad! If this continues I’ll have to move to something more reliable, and live with the frustration of having to try and learn a new program as I can’t keep redoing work. (I don’t know if this is the cause but it appears that sometimes it crashes when I am designing as the program autosaves).
