I'm so glad to see Affinity getting going. I've just been slammed lately so I haven't been able to get going myself on purchasing what you have so far. But I will! I really don't like having to crank up the emulator and even deal with Windows. I also hope and pray you are finally organizing "Affinity Web." Web Plus functionality is slowly degrading on the Windows side (my site project, in the emulator). I hope Affinity understand how much of a niche there is for it. I built my site with Web Pus and it may have its issues, but I understand it and know how to do a lot of things. In the world of macs there seems to be almost nothing except what looks like cheap dodgy web designers or Dreamweaver for a ton of money, if you can actually buy it alone and not have to go 'Creative Suite' with Adobe.
So! Will Affinity Photo seem a lot like Photo Plus to a Photo Plus user? That is my question today, broadly put -- and with an example: I'm sure I can somehow do this with Elements, but haven't figured out how I go about pasting in a photo to another and editing the layer for the classic "photo shop" experience, e.g. sticking a zebra into a shopping mall or the Eiffel tower in my backyard. I'm sure it's possible. It's just a matter of physical learner memory where I know in PP exactly how to do this.
Any other similarities and differences, please? And refer me to other threads as well if you like, that's ok. Thanks -- Brien
