  1. I just started using Affinity Photos and was looking forward to using it as a plug-in for Apple Photos. But I, too, ran into the same problem mentioned at the start of this thread. I'm not interested in workarounds because they are always less efficient because, well, they are workarounds. I would very much like to see this issue fixed and would then be very happy to use Affinity Photo 2. Until then ... For what it's worth, I use: a Mac mini 2023, Apple M2, 24 GB, Sonoma 14.5 Affinity Photos 2 is version 2.5.3. Apple Photos version 9.0 (651.0.100)
  2. While in Apple Photos, I selected a photo, and then selected "Edit" / "Edit in Affinity Photo". After I finished editing it, I selected "Save Changes" but then got the error message "Unable to edit with 'Edit in Affinity Photo' - an unexpected error occurred". See attachment, which includes screenshots leading to the error message. This happened after I updated to Affinity Photos 2 version 2.5.3. I'm using: macOS Sonoma 14.15 (23F79) on a Mac mini 2023. Apple Photos Version 9.0 (6510.0.100) Affinity Photos 2 version 2.5.3
