databell

I have my panorama and since the 1.8 upgrade, I take my pano image, place it in equirectangular mode, place an image to distort and then I distort the image, but when I try to merge the layers together, the distortions all go away and revert back to it's original state. This wasn't happening previously. So what happened? I'm on MacOS 10.15.7.

I'm using Designer 1.3.5 and I'm trying to remove a portion of a bitmap I just pasted in. So I go select my bitmap, then go to the Rectangular Marquee Tool to make my selection and then go to Cut or hit the delete key and the entire bitmap disappears? Bug? Or something I'm doing wrong?
