  1. Hi all,

my colleagues discovered that the exported PNGs of Affinity Designer have worse anti-aliasing than the ones our boss makes with Inkscape. When we tried to improve on our export quality we discovered that changing the resampler in the export setting resulted in the exact same files. They even have the same md5 checksum. The Version used is 1.9.0

As a mac user, I find the old icons really offsetting. They look as if they were designed for a space invader game. I can't see any motivation for most of the details except style (and outdated style at that) which is really the worst kind of design method imho. The new ones pick up this legacy, but they are much cleaner and thus more professional looking, so definitely progress imho!

For me not. Time axes (what is and what will be) is obvious. The direction of text reading is not decisive.

But it's not obvious in which icons there is a time axis... so I would pledge to keep the arrows... (is anyone from Affinity even reading this? xD) They certainly don't do any harm.

I also really liked this proposal as it doesn't need a timeline and once you get it the two are hard to confuse, which doesn't apply to the comic version.

Seeing if a curve is closed or open by glancing at which Icon is greyed out would come in really handy!

  4. Hi all, I have the same request and issue.

Another way to include AD in this workflow and open a whole range of different possibilities would be the support of some CAD file formats such as STP, DWG or, best for rhino users, 3DM.

According to the Rhino support they have an SDK for their 3DM files.

As the crew from Rhino are getting the same requests the other way around they apparently tried to contact you guys at Affinity several months ago with no response.

This is really the last tie that´s keeping AI installed on my mac, so it would be terrific to know this feature on your to-do list :)

    Keep up the good work!
