So I have experimented with both types of nesting and I kind of understand. Is there a tutorial on the different types of nesting? If not I think one is warranted.

Is there a quick way to reset the foreground/background colors to black and white? Currently,I go to the Swatches panel and select black and white to reset.

So there are two ways to nest an adjustment layer.
1) The adjustment layer is nested to the right of the target layer - this is accomplished by dragging the adjustment layer over the target layer and dropping it in place when the vertical blue bar appears next to the target layer.
2) The adjustment layer is nested below and offset to the right of the target layer - this is accomplished by dragging the adjustment layer over the target layer and dropping it in place when the horizontal blue bar appears to the right of the target layer.
So what's the difference in the behavior of the adjustment layer?

Currently, there is no levels tool in Develop Persona. Use the Curves tool in the Tones tab.

Please consider adding a Masking Brush similar to the ON1 Perfect Masking Brush or the Capture One 9 Auto Masking Brush. These masking Brushes are far superior to the masking tools in AP. Thanks for listening.

Hi pjglad,
Select the Crop Tool, go to the Mode dropdown in the context toolbar and select Custom Ratio then insert the values you want in the width x height fields and press Enter. Now to save it go to the Mode dropdown again and select Add Preset. Give it a name and press OK. The new preset will be added to the list.
That does not work. I want to create a 2.25 : 3.25 aspect ratio crop preset. I cannot enter 2.25 as it truncates to 2.

I am trying to create a 2.25 : 3.25 crop preset for wallet size photos. When I enter 2.25 it truncates to 2. Why is that? Thanks.

So how does Soft Proofing work in AP? There is nothing in HELP. I know there is a soft proofing adjustment layer. It appears as if you adjust the background layer and compare it to the soft proofing adjustment layer.

I have a Canon Pro-100 printer. I would like to load an ICC profile for a specific type of paper. Where are the ICC profiles located? I looked in the Colorsync folder and they are not there.

Is the Tutorial App on the Apple Store worth purchasing at £7.99, is it maintained by anyone?
Are they the same tutorial files as on Vimeo therefore waste of money buying the app?
This is a good course. Wait until it goes on sale for $15 which is like every other week.

So I just calibrated my iMac with ColorMunki which created an ICC Color Profile. So, how do I utilize this profile with Affinity Photo? As an FYI, I read Colour Management HELP and I am confused. Thanks.

I do not know what IPC memory restrictions are, but does this imply that Photoshop and Lightroom tolerate this restriction in order to utilize this plugin? Thanks.

I select a portion of an image then create a layer mask and save it as an AP file. I then place it into a different image and resize. There is a faint line (border) which surrounds the resized placed image. Why is that?
