Hi @teovall and welcome to the forums. This is a great bug report for your first post!
I duplicated this on macOS, too. Here's a crash report for Serif.

Notes:
The first document needs to be facing pages - just use one of the presets like A4 or Letter I tried duplicating it with a single document set up to match the outcome of the OP's steps - the docs then looked identical to me - but no crash
