Thanks @MikeTO Selecting all the text in the frame and THEN setting the language worked. Thank you. As for text styles, I am using text styles, but I cannot figure out how to update the style to reflect a change of language.

Hey all, Thanks for the fast replies. The loom video was there to show all the different ways I was trying to solve it, especially because trying to take a screenshot was forcing the most the language selectors to disappear. @MikeTO I've followed your instructions and new Frame Text in new files appears to be UK English by default. But in the current file, if I try to change the language of a frame, it appears to change. But when I click back on to the frame (after changing the frame language), the language jumps back to being English (not UK English). Any suggestions? Many thanks.

I've looked at other threads for help, but none help. I'm inside Publisher v2 on Mac and it is insisting on spell-checking in US English. My system default is English UK and specifying it to either default or English does not help. <Incorrect link removed by moderator> Please help.
