Affinity Photo no longer shows the UI after update 2.3.1

Is this new behaviour? I would not expect it to hide the window decoration. -
After updating Affinity Photo to version 2.3.1, it no longer shows any UI in the main window, not even any window decorations (title bar, close/minimise/zoom button, etc.) The 'new document' dialog does pop up, if I close it then all I get is a large gray rectangle on my screen. If I create a new document, then I get a grey rectangle with a white rectangle inside it. No UI elements are shown at all. (see attached screen recording). Computer specs: Apple MacBook Pro M1 Max 64 GB RAM macOS Sonoma 14.3 Affinity Photo 2.3.1 bug.mov
