Hello TheVole,
Welcome to Affinity Forums.
If it's a simple logo you can trace it manually using the Pen Tool (and eventually the Shapes Tool).
There's some video tutorials on Vimeo that may help you get started:

There's also a great tutorial made by @CartoonMike - The Pumpkin Tutorial - that goes in great detail about how to draw in Affinity Designer.
Finally, Affinity Review - our new ezine (ibooks format) - covers the Pen Tool extensively in its first issue, with video tutorials showing how to get the most of it.

I need to have a tracing feature added in order for me to totally quit Adobe. I often draw my art on paper then scan it in and trace in AI in order to tweak it using vectors. I'd definitely love to see this feature added to Designer. :rolleyes:

I've just installed this package. Never before i've seen such a beautiful user interface for this type of software.
Maybe a bit strange to start requesting features only hours after installation. This feature however is what i've been looking for and which actually made me discover Affinity Designer. Would be nice to have it in a future version.

A tool to convert into SVG, based on tracing a bitmap image, would be very nice for me as well! So please count me in !

maybe I'm missing it, but is there an option to open a JPEG, or bitmap image
and trace,or convert it to a vector file for further editing? If not there should be one, it would be a great option. even if it had only a few modes like black and white, and 5 color
it would make me convince me to convert from adobe illustrator
