  1. Thanks Walt. That seems to work. I'm worried that this will be a problem with a print service. When export pages 2-29. The pdf ends up with a two page spread as the first page. When I export all pages the first page is a single page, not a spread.
  2. Using a single publisher document, I'd like to export a digital book pdf with a cover, I'd also like to export a pdf for print that doesn't include the cover? Print services seem to want the cover as a separate file. If I want to also export a digital book the cover is missing unless I add it to the document in which case the cover is now a problem for printing. I tried making a copy of the document and including the cover but this seems inefficient since any updates now have to be applied to both documents.
  3. Thanks that's really helpful! I would have replied sooner but apparently I had reached the limit to the number of posts I can make in a day!
  4. Thanks, that worked great! I'm trying to add a stroke to the Text frame but using the stroke palette seems to only add a stroke to the characters and not the box?
  5. I've got a rounded text frame with some digits but if the frame is too small the text is forced out of the box. This seems to be an effect of the typographic properties. Which property do I need to set allow the numbers to appear in a smaller text frame? Here is an image to illustrate the question. These are all copies of the same text frame. It appears there needs to be a little bit of space to the left and right. Without this space the text gets pushed down. This happens in the circular frame at the bottom. This frame is a little narrower than the frame above, this pushes the text below the frame.
  6. Is there a cheatsheet for the typography options somewhere? There are a lot of options under the menu. I familiar with CSS and web typography but Publisher doesn't follow the same system.
  7. This works but the preview doesn't show the page that is exported. I had tried this earlier but didn't bother to export because the page that was previewed not correct! The options for this are confusing. You need to choose "All Pages" then type a page number into the box below. Might be more explicit if there was another option on the menu "Selected Pages" or something similar.
  8. I tried that, it didn't work. I selected the text box and some text inside it.
  9. Thanks for the reply. (I think) this is exactly what I'm doing but it shows the preview of the left page, I'm assuming that this is what will be exported. In the picture attached you can see I have the right page selected in the page view. But the preview in the sport dialog box shows the left page. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
  10. When I choose Export and set the Area to "Current Page" Affinity Publisher shows page 10 in the preview but I have page 11 selected in the editor. How can print page 11. Seems like the preview always shows the left page and will not allow me to print the page on the right side. I have the page selected in the page view and and it's centered in the editor.
  11. I'd like to create a text frame with a background color and rounded corners in Affinity Publisher. Imagine an image that has a number in a circle to label something on a page. Is this possible?
