It works pretty well I think :-) I learned something from you - thank you very much! Maybe a pro will do it another way, maybe they will show us here ;-)

Ah, very cool done: So first you shaped the ground in black, then you added the body colour and the shadow and last time some more details - is this right?

Really nice done denironaut - can you sent me the affinity file. I am helpless in shadowing the lines. Can I analyse your sketch please?

Please dont think I am dumb, but this question I think seems for most of you a little bit foolish. I dont know the reason, why there are different tools: Pen, Pencil and Vector brush. In which scenario which of theese tools is the best? I sketch all my lines and the most of my shapes with the Pen Tool. I use a Wacom Tablet with pressure sensitive function. I was never in a situation to use the Pencil Tool or the Vector brush. The first time I use they for a try, I was disappointed how they work. I switched back to my Pen Tool I am more confident with. I know the different kinds of work from this different tool, but I have no clue, why we need Pencil or Vector brush. Can you bring me some light  ? Thanks a lot!

Kathrin replied to ard910's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
I have no Beta, it just works fine after the last AD update. Copy & Paste to any other program :-) -
AD and Keynote
Kathrin replied to Tamauro's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi Tamauro, for me it works as easy as you can imagine: just copy the vectorpart in AD and paste it in KN - there you can edit this in a way, how KN deals with any other graphic (vector or pixel). Kathrin -
Yes, Z-Brush was also my first impression :-) Really cool Ronnie! Very nice done, interesting ideas!

affinity designer Back to skeuomorphic design...
Kathrin replied to paolo.limoncelli's topic in Share your work
I like skeuomorphic design :-) the best example (imho) is my ebook reader in the browser (https://read.amazon.com/) :-) -
Sunset - I did it again. Nice colors :-) Cool sketches - how fast did you create it?
-
Hihi, a little joke: I meant that your eejits look to often at youtube (or watch some else stuff), thats why they look so tired :-) Why I know this? They´ve stolen my iPhone cabelage :-)

Hi, I try to improve my design skills after work as a fulltime physician - so time is more worth than gold right now ;-) Here I have some new little dragons in comic style: They are dragonbabybrothers and the last one is a farting dragon :-) What do you think? I realised the shadow via pixel persona, I am not happy with it, but never give up ;-) Yours Kathrin

Kathrin replied to Kathrin's topic in Share your work
Thanks ZVK and Sunset: for the fonts I used Photoshop. There I feel more confident, than with font working in Afinity designer. -
Yes really cool :-) - Like Sunset says - cool gradient on the leaves and cute ears :-)

Thanks a lot, Yes I tried the effects and worked a little bit with the blurring. I do a lot of research - looking for other dragon paintings, the comic look I like most. But I often have the problem with using the paths. I like open paths, but then I have the problem with colorfilling. It looks not ready. Then I create some layers down the paths, but the matching (path-colorfill) is not accurate. Hm, I think I have to learn a lot and do some training.

What do you mean with Shadow FX?

So now I am ready, I am satisfied with the colors, but there are a lot of layers, sometime difficult to handle them :-)
