hi @Hangman, thnx for the help so far. I was able make an export, so with that i'm very happy. But indeed to complete the issue, it would be fine to test if someone else is having the same experience on that part. I am using MacOs Sonoma 14.1.1 -

Hi @Hangman, The first message that I've sended was only with pdf's that were imported as they were. After that I imported them in Photo to make them CMYK (I don't know if I already attached the correct color profile) After you're good results with setting them to Tiff images, I changed all the pdf's to tiff cmyk with the right color profile. Maybe that explains going from 12 to 7 corrupted images. But this is still only with jpeg compression checked out. If I do check that box there is no problem anymore. I exported the pdf to iCloud and the result is the same as exporting it to my computers harddrive. -

Export from publisher to PDF affects images

hi @Hangman, That file works good, So i think the biggest problem is the jpeg compression that was unchecked before. Because only then it fails. These were settings i'd set with the printing company manually, because I could not load their job options like in adobe. So I thought that was well. And I did not understand the function of the jpeg compression good enough. Thnx Hangman for helping me out with my issue. -

Oh i wasn't very clear i see @Hangman i only checked the box include bleed by advanced and theJPEG Compression was also checked. But If i checked the box bleed above by the file settings (not advanced) then the images were corrupted and as i left the Jpeg compression box unchecked also corrupted the image.1.tiff1.tif1.tiff 2.tiff 3.tiff 4.tiff 1.tiff -
Export from publisher to PDF affects images
Aniek replied to Aniek's topic in V2 Bugs found on macOS
hi @Hangman Well I thought that's strange. I exported all the pictures now correctly to tiff, cmyk with the color profile ISO coated v2 300% (ECI). Still, with me, the images are damaged when exporting to pdf 1.3 or 1.4. And the whole document is stored on my computers harddrive. So I started testing the requirements of the printing agency to a pdf and the normal PDF/X-4. It happens when File settings are checked by "include bleed", and include the bleed checkbox by advanced setting. Also with having the box "allow JPEG compression" unchecked. Which seems strange to me cause there are no jpeg images? And if you have checked the box "include bleed" should that not also be automatically checked by the advanced settings? Another question, why makes publisher the bleed in pdf 0.1 mm bigger so with a bleed of 3 mm on each side? Your document should be X.60 mm instead of X.61. -

hi @Hangman, at first I've used the pdf later i gave it a cmyk profile in Affinity Photo . I just take a look to change the colour profile. At first it seems to work fine if it was a low dpi pdf. But I've tried eurocoated v2 en coated fogra 39 with 300 dpi, then it has the same issues as described in my post above. Scan_20231218 (2).afphoto Scan_20231218 (2).pdf -
Hi, I have a publisher V2.3 document that I try to export to a PDF for professional printing. But the images keeps being affected like the rendering did not go right. I've used images that are part of high resolution pdf documents. The Document set-up is in Iso Coated v2 300% (ECI) and export to an high resolution PDF in the same color profile. It does not matter which PDF format I use (PDF/X-1a, PDF/X-3, PDF/X-4) also using the document resolution or use 300 dpi settings. Last times I did this it was also but it got fixed with an update, and it also did not matter if the import file to Publisher was RGB or not. Kaart 23 lttrcntr.pdf

Affinity Publiser 2.2.1.2075 Does not open file or create a new file
Aniek replied to Aniek's topic in V2 Bugs found on macOS
Hi @Hangman, This part "You could try clearing your user defaults by holding down the Ctrl Key while launching Publisher. When you see the 'Clear User Data' window, leave the first three options checked and then click 'Clear' and let Publisher finish launching and see whether that fixes the issue for you." Altough the first three boxes were already checked and the others were not, it worked -

Hi, Since a week Affinity publisher will not open a file and will also not create a new file. It only opens the application, further nothing happens. I've already reinstalled Publisher but that also did not work. So how can we solve the problem? I'm using the software on a macbook. Today I updated my MacOs to Sonoma 14.1.1 but the problem remains te same. Kind regards Aniek
