The update to 2.2.1 is quite recent. I don't recall opening the .aftemplate files successfully since the update. The templates were created with an older version of Affinity Photo 2.

Hi Walt, thanks for your quick response. It's not related to MacOS Sonoma, there's an older version of MacOS installed. I added some screenshots of the MacOS and Affinity versions. Affinity has Access to "Schreibtisch" => German for "Desktop" where the files are stored.

I created several .aftemplate Files as Templates for Affinity Photo 2. They worked fine until this week, when I suddenly wasn't able to open them with Affinity Photo 2 anymore. I get the following error: "The file couldn't be opened" I added a screenshot of the error. What can I do to open these Template files again?
