I agree, but I also think there is an habit to settle for mediocrity, or because something is cheap or because is free.
AP potential is amazing and I think over time it will prove it even more.

I agree with velarde and csp, some basic features for professional works are slow in coming and new features, interesting but not essential, are still immature. New features attract but we should be able to use a software where each function does exactly what it promises, preferably better than competitors, starting from the "simplest" things. AP is already an excellent software for what it costs but it can do more and better. The risk is to have so many things running at half their potential.

A preview in the export dialog or in the Export Persona is really required for professional use. If I make changes to the settings I want to see in real time what the final image will look like (before I export it ) and experiment with the settings and balance file size vs image quality.
 
I've used Photoshop save for web option since it was implemented in v 5.5. It's the best way to work with.
Have no idea of the reasoning of retiring it in the new versions of Photoshop. It actually is still there, but they call it "legacy".
 
Hope something like this get implemented in Affinity 1.5 or 1.6, 1.7 to make it a great app for Professional design.

Hi, I have some requests for guides, or maybe I'm not able to use them  ;)
 
- Set guide by dragging it from the ruler with any tool (not just move tool) 
- Making a guide while the guides are not displayed should make all guide to be displayed - Ability to delete guides by selecting them?    
-Another thing that does not concern the guides: show and/or move the center / center of rotation of shapes?

turning on "dither gradients" I was confused by what I saw in the program and what is exported. Well, great support for great software.

And just simplify it? (..my first try with AD)
