[Can't move or delete Text Frame (split)]

No, It didn't sound "silly" at all  !  Never ! - especially when you got it so Correct !  Why I didn't spot it before I don't know.  Thank you Thank you !  Went back to some earlier photo attempts of the same file and that was the answer - Use the Arrow not the Hand !   I'll have to keep an eye on what 'it' defaults to when opening or reopening a file.

Tried again on text ( up to D from tries A-D ) to be able to Adjust Text after saving file as .afphoto to my desktop ( iMac OS Big Sur 11.7.9 ).  Reopening in Affinity Photo 2  2.2.0 again doesn't allow any text changes even when 'text layer is selected.  In attachenet it's the text to the left I try to move - correct - or change.

I have somewhat the same problem as this - simple picture which I added simple text to ( even moved text around a little ) then saved the 'picture' with the text as I have always done with Affinity Photo 2  ( version 2.2.0 - is this the cause since I just downloaded this version ? ) but can't do anything with any of the next now that the photo is back in Affinity Photo 2   In the past it was never a problem.   It's like the text and picture is just a PNG file now, but was saved as .afphoto   - the layers still show for the individual text but no matter what I do ( Lock - unlock and a dozen other things ) the text just sits there - I select the text in the Layer box but on the picture there's no 'box text outline' as in the past, so no way to add, correct, or move the text - best I can do is individually 'turn it off' the text in the Layer Panel and start over.   What happened ?  Bug in 2.2.0 ?  or
