  1. I have always had affinity photo as a shortcut on my home screen. I use an up-to-date Windows laptop, and have never had any problems. When 2.2 got released, I went to resume editing an affinity photo file that I had begun working on, by clicking on the shortcut as I usually do. The file would not open in Affinity Photo, as it has automatically opened in version 2.0, and my file apparently contains 'features from a later version'. I have tried to open my file by doing the following: 1- Opening my file directly from my documents 2- Opening the Affinity shortcut from my home screen (which opens as 2.0), then a pop-up for downloading the most recent version appears. I click the button, which then informs me that this newer version is already downloaded. When I click 'launch' for the newest version, I open my file, which tells me yet again that the file cannot open, as it contains features from a newer version of Affinity Photo. I am on a time limit to complete some paid retouching for a client and the only way around this has been to start my file's work from scratch, in an older version of Affinity and to finish it in one go, as it won't allow me to reopen it. This is not convenient and worries me that I am going to encounter the problem again, please can someone help me? original posted 01.10.23 :)
