@Grunt Ouch. That is a shame Affinity trio doesn't work on a multi-platform basis. I guess I am being too altruistic with linux because I see much potential with the platform and the fact that all of you linux users work your butts off to prove a workable concept. I have learned that MacOS is a very expensive platform to develop for. Thanks for all of your hard work and contributions; including all other linux users who put in massive effort to prove a point.
While there is no perfect method of governance, I do admire the meritocracy of the linux crowd.

I am very glad the Affinity Team is getting around to automation in their software. From my point of view, they are adding a complex infrastructure in the apps to enable automation that we need. Keep in mind they are dealing with a very large code base and it is manual labor for computer science; so the bottle-neck are the developers themselves; I would rather they are responsible for their health first and not over tax their individual wellbeing.

Wanesty, thank you for pointing me to this thread. I have a programmer friend who is introducing me to linux and is willing to low cost donate me a dedicated computer. So I could provide community service to Serif for getting Affinity a native install on linux using the beta program as an entry way for them. After all this hard work you and others have done to get this far. If I ask nicely, my programmer friend may donate the requisite Windows file itself as long as I keep it for personal use.
Although, I won't have the donated computer until sometime early November due to my friend being quite busy this week and next.

That is very impressive work around. However, I don't have an active Windows license to pull the necessary files from. I do have a universal license, but my current main driver is MacOS. Also, I don't have the necessary developer skills like the rest of you linux geeks. Not sure how to proceed.

You have a very practical - and extremely wise - saying for a signature. I can think of quite a few ivory tower types that would do well to conduct themselves with that always in front of mind and action.
