  1. I have found that the snapping tool is a little difficult to manage.  I would like to be able to snap to a trace (any point along the trace and not just at nodes).  Also, it would be really beneficial to be able to snap a spline to a trace or a curve.  Currently the best way that I have found do to that is to draw two overlapping shapes, click the divide button and then group two of the three resulting shapes (a little cumbersome).  An even better feature would be to include something like Adobe Illustrators live paint bucket tool (check it out).

  3. Hi,

Maybe I am missing something here but something that I think is basic for a program like this is the the ability to extrude objects.  I know there is a 3D option but it only gives a rounded aspect to the center of the drawn object.  I am thinking about something more like Word Art with Microsoft Word.  I haven´t seen a similar function in Pages for Mac and I know that Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw do this.

Thanks for the help.  You guys are great.

  4. Hi,

I would like to know if there is a way to make tear drop shapes (or water drop shapes) with the vector brush stroke.  I have played around with the profile of the stroke but the end that is supposed to be rounded comes out as a series of straight segments.   I would also like to know if there is a way to define a brush stroke based on the geometry of the brush.  This is done easily with Graphic, a low budget vectorial program in the App Store (Used to be IDraw). Attached you can see an example of the types of shapes that I want to make with AD.  In the profile option of Graphic it is very easy to do this and if the option is still not in AD I think that it would greatly enhance the program.

  5. I am having trouble with reproducing the brush strokes.  The entire stroke comes out the same width, which is not good.  I am using a magic mouse so that may be part of the problem so far as the pressure goes but regardless it would be nice if you could make the pressure optional or at least that the brush stroke feature be funcional with the magic mouse.

  6. Hi.  So far I really like Affinity Designer for creating my vectorial drawings.  However one really cool feature for Affinity Designer that I do not see is a tool for measuring distances and angles on drawings so that they can be precisely annotated or for rescaling imported image files (another feature that I do not see in Affinity Designer.
