Thank you @NathanC That was a really help for me to understand some more. What is confusing is that a search in Google gives some of the same hits. I will continue and see if I can it all even more clear.

I have been using Affinity for something like two years. Now I wanted to use some of the availabel add-ons. I have viewed some tutorials and read the installation guide. But still I am not able to see the add-ons in e.g. Photo. As it is hard to explain what I have done I prepared the attached 60-seconds video showing the situation.
