  1. That will happen in due course (I believe) but at the moment this options is not there.
  2. Should we report again the bugs reported already or only the "fresh" ones?
  3. Your existence? Please shed some more light on the problem you are having.
  4. Please file it as a bug. That's what beta release is for.
  5. Nobody is forcing you. You stipulate that a program should have templates. I say thank you for not forcing me to work with templates. I'll create them myself.
  6. It looks as if these are 2 independent panels. One highlights the latest edited Master Page another the edited page. Whether that's desirable is debatable. Visually it may be confusing to the user what's going on.
  7. with Affinity Photo: http://macdailynews.com/2018/09/05/dr-mac-yes-photoshop-can-be-replaced/
  8. You need to move the triangle on the bottom right up by clicking on it. This tells the Designer how many rows are affected. You will need to play with them a little to understand how they work. Also you can delete a row or a column by clicking on the minus buttons on the top left of the window. My personal experience with them is that you are much better of creating a table in Publisher, then apply styles to a Header, Footer and the middle part. Do whatever you like. And then simply save all this as a Table Style. And you are done. Then you might want to explore what the Publisher thinks of all your formatting by going to Edit Table Style.
  9. As suggestion you once you complete January save the style of this table. Then you can apply this style to subsequent months. Of course you could also copy and paste the first table and change the details there. Great work.
  10. Thanks GaryLearnTech, I realised that too as soon as I relaunched the app. Hopefully this will be fixed next time round.
  11. Just read the article. I was expecting nastier comments judging from your post ZeroZero. It's the usual smirks, raising eyebrows, etc. Not very relevant and to much to worry about.
  12. Copying and pasting word files to HTML documents is a completely different kettle of fish and I agree with you on this count. However, working with Word files in publishing is a different beast all together. Trust me, I consider myself a veteran in this field and am well aware of problems working with Word. But it's completely unrealistic to expect people to save Word files down to .txt only and start working from there.
  13. Title Exceptions option in the Preferences panel seems to be very broken. You can add words to its, but instead of one it may add 1 or 2 at the same time. When deleting a word instead of deleting it, it ads a few more again.
  14. What I meant was that PDF is an eps with extra features, the ones you mentioned. But that doesn't change the fact that PDF is just a glorified eps (what I said earlier).
  15. Apparently you can use Math Lab in Microsoft Word and then export the equation as PDF. Alternatively, install LibreOffice and do the math formulas there. You can then export your formulas in PDF and then import them to Publisher. It works, because I've just tried it. The best of luck.
  16. You don't have to use Microsoft Word. There are free alternatives to it and just as good: LibreOffice, OpenOffice and many more. In fact, affinity can read paragraph and character styles form one of these programs. So that's an extra bonus. I don't think Affinity will ever want to go in that direction. But hey, who knows.
  17. Strange, it works for me. Try to restart the program and see if the problem you have persists. By the way I'm on machos.
  18. We already have a option of searching for pictures on Shutterstock. It whold be awesome if we could add more options there ourselves.
  19. That's a great solution. Visually, the rest of the text disappears and it should inform the user that a new page needs to be created.
  20. Sensible is a tricky term. A lot of people wanted dark mode for Affinity Photo and Designer. Even Apple has the dark mode enabled as default in their latest beta OS. Preferences mean exactly that. You can change to what's most suitable for you.
  21. I've just noticed that you can actually scroll above the first page to negative infinity and beyond the last page to positive infinity (meaning way too far).
  22. Big companies are the last to adopt anything new. It always starts from smaller businesses. Remember Quark? Unassailable king of the publishing industry? And who's laughing now. There is every chance for Publisher to succeed in this business now more than ever before because there is a need for something new.
