I think this is a bug and you should report it. If you create any other object like an oval, etc., then the wrap works OK. So this bug only affect tables. The only way to remedy that at the moment is to increase Unten: by about 10pts to make the line jump to just below the Table.

I read somewhere that blank lines are removed automatically by publisher so we don't have to worry about it. If they do appear then maybe it's because these empty lines contain spaces or white characters that force them to appear on the merged document.

You have to tab out of both X and Y inputs in the New Patter Layer to get the size of the pattern you want. Otherwise the program reads the only entry in any of the input fields. See below: pattern.mov

Same here. Shapes created with tools like ovals, rectangles work OK. That's why I specifically mentioned the one that crashes all the time.

Basically, the latest beta crashes as soon as you start manipulating the medical glyph shape from the Assets Panel.

@MEB, @Sean P, I was in the process of recording a short video showing the problem and lo and behold it did work at that time. Don't know what to say except that it's working now. I even checked the latest Photo beta and it didn't work there for me either. Now, however, both work fine. Weird. Sorry for taking up the bandwidth. The problem just went away.

Hi @Sean P and @MEB, Apologies, I meant to say PSD files. I'm not sure whether it makes sense (well I think it does) to export the whole document as PSD but at the moment that seems to be not possible. So if you select a Designer file with multiples artboards and select PSD export the Whole Document the command fails silently. I will try to update the heading of this thread as well. EDIT: I've just checked the latest Photo beta and the same problem appears to be there as well.

When exporting a PDF PSD with Whole Document selected (Pop-up Menu), the app does nothing. Selecting individual arbours exports PDF PSD as expected.

I'm not sure whether this is everybody's experience but when I switch the measuring system to centimetres when creating a new document the latest beta crashes. I use a tab key to go to the next field and once tabbed the program crashes. If I change the dimensions manually (without tabbing) then the program crashes when clicking on the OK button. tabKey.mov

There is so much a publishing app can do but to be able to connect to a database (again rabbit hole: local?, cloud, etc) is something very desirable and I completely agree with you here.

Either that or having an ID field that should be the same in both files. One-to-One relation basically.

I think I reset all options there. But I also understand how frustrating it is to reselect all your preferences again.

Not really, but did you try to reset Publisher by holding down Control key? I remember I had a similar problem with second 1.9 beta and the reset worked for me then.

Studio Presets have been absent in Publisher (On MacOSX) for the last couple of betas. Is it intentional or is it only on my computer? I also noticed that if I Clear User Data (first 4 options) I have to go through the Registration Process again. Is that necessary?

Disagree. While Variable Font is important to some it's not a top priority to others. There are more important things that Publishers is missing at the moment.

This seems to be a bug on MacOSX only because, apparently, you can do that on windows.

I'm sure you guys know what to do in this case. Adobe and other companies allow you to have 2 computers connected to the store. You could allow 2-4 different locales to be connected from, to the account, after which the account is suspended and the owner is informed of illegal activity.

Can't you run Find and Replace character styles to [None] on all headings as a second step?

When generating records through Data Merge the progress indicator doesn't reflect the progress of the merge. (at least for me) It doesn't move at all and then it disappears when the job is done.

Hello @kevinslimp, The only advise/suggestion I can give you is to get involved in the beta testing of Affinity Publisher and report all bugs and annoying things you encounter while using it. I think the vast majority of users hanging out in this forum have high hopes. Only time will tell … . Meanwhile you can contribute to its development.

It works on MacOSX. I tried .csv and .xlsx files and it works as expected. EDIT: Make sure that you have a complete path to the resource. I don't think relative paths work (haven't tried it yet).

It seems that it's not possible to lay out data merge structure in Master Pages at the moment. I'm not sure whether this is a bug or simply not planned at all. It would be a very powerful thing to be able to create a number of page layouts using the Data Merge Node box in Master Pages and being able to change the layout of the merged page at will later. Basically a combination of Smart Master Pages + Smart Merge = a very powerful feature for catalogues, etc.
