I'm not sure what's going wrong for you other than a potential setting discrepancy with your version of Word. We've tried copy pasting from a few word processors and they're all working without a hitch.

I prefer Fill tools.
But this doesn't really surprise me, because there is a lot of illogical in programs, from names to behavior to development priorities.

You are doing everything right. This is a message from the master page because the data source is deleted after the data merge. If you want to make sure, add the data source again and the message will disappear.

Reorganize your data in the spreadsheet in this way and you will get a single sheet data source. Then you won't have any problems.

Or, if you're merging page 2, use the Page Range from 2 to 2. When merging page 5, update the source from the top (select Neclace sheet) and select Page Range from 5 to 5.

Hi Anto,

This is functioning for me, but you do need to be aware that you're at liberty of maths and bezier curves, so it will be very unlikely the curve will be exactly the same with the deleted node. It will attempt to make the closest approximation of it that it can via adjusting the handles on the adjacent nodes. Without using it, the node is simply removed and adjacent handles are untouched.

This is working correctly. The explanation in the help isn't that clear (at least for me) but it's doing what it should.
Taking your first image as an example: dragging the pink square as you image shows will place the pink square above its parent layer (as seen in image two), whereas draggin it over the botton part of the parent bar unclips it placing it on the bottom of the parent.

If you place another object clipped inside of one of the already clipped objects, you will have a grand parent bar (a second bar) which you can also use to drag the double clipped object to above the first parent object for example.

I've moved this thread to the feedback section as the feature works fine it just seems the help could use some extra info.

You can use the Books feature, then you'll have a separate chapter in a separate file, but you'll have to convert all text documents to afpub first.
Or if your text documents have styles and start with a header, you can select Flow --> In next frame in the header style settings in Publisher for example

I see the same problem. At first I was also experiencing this, but I thought I had changed the Transform Origin.
Now I can reproduce it as well. Even if you do not select  Previous Settings, problem exist.

I can reproduce this. Tools remember the last settings used, and it appears that if a stroke is applied to a 2 point 'line', the gradient start and end handles are being lost (likely because the line has a height of zero). If its done with a shape with more than 2 nodes (no longer a 'line') it doesn't happen.
